Personally I do prefer the classic simple darker color scheme for Ryu way better, but the SF4 one just doesn't really make sense outside of Ryu Final

And Alpha 3 takes place before sf2. Udon just has no idea what to d with Ryu, so they just permanently are going to have him deal with Satsui No Hado forever...they made him even more 1-dimensional, somehow.

I was more of a Mortal Kombat kid. I know i've theoretically played street fighter but the amount of fights are probably in the single digits.
Soul Calibur and Guilty Gear are my favorites.
I guess one could count smash too but that's more because everyone here takes it way too seriously when I look at it more like a party game and wish everyone didn't hate it if I used a map other than final destination clone 5000.

Ken Siu-Chong's stuff tends to be the best, the rest of Udon never manages to write anything nearly as fitting.
They also always make the characters talk way too much during the fights, often to repeat stuff they've already said in past issues. I'm so goddamn tired of reading Ryu talking about Satsui no Hadou in these things...
