>The Story takes place in the futuristic Alien vs. Predator universe, where Earth has been overrun by Aliens, and the social elite have taken refuge in gigantic skyliners. Caryn Delacroix is the protagonist, with an unclear past regarding both the Aliens and Predators throughout most of the comic.
>Apart from the Aliens/Predator universe crossover, Claremont also made references to his previous short comic Renegade.[2]
>Several notable comic book characters also make cameos as Predator trophies. These are Magneto, Wolverine, Batman, and Cyclops.
i have the utmost pity for poor OP, this is gonna take forever
>>77420008
Same here.
I tried storytiming it once, and this is about the part I gave up and let the thread die.

OP, did you accidentally storytime a Star Trek comic in your AVP thread?
HOLY SHIT IS FINALLY OVER.
They said it couldn't be done, I sure show them.
Also, fucking Claremont be crazy as shit.
Lots of noods, so that's cool tho
>>77423339
So, I finally finished the AVP comics.
I'm going to take a day off and next Saturday I'm going to do the Alien stuff.
I have 6 Omnibus but I'm going to take it slow, don't want another Marathon like today.

I really should have had some booze while attempting this, but damn , thanks for the story time OP!
>>77423339
that was pretty insane, but all in all a pretty satisfying exploration of the technology and ethics of the avp universe
I have no idea what just happened.
Claramont is a nutter...
Amazing jumble of nonsense he's written there.
>>77423339
This was a fun ride, OP. Thanks!
insanity bump
Bump. I'm storytiming the side story "Renegade" later.
>>77432839
THERE'S MORE?
>>77433328
Yes. Before "Deadliest of the Species", Claremont released a story starring the same main character as meanst to introducing her.
I'm not sure if it takes place before or after DotS, I'll read the comic for the second time after I finish this.
It was released in two parts in the first two issues anthology comic "Dark Horse Comics" (not to be confused with "Dartk Horse Presents") along with stories of Robocop, Predator and Time Cop, and it was never reprinted again as far as I know.
What's more, iirc Claremont intended to make more stories with this character, DotS being her big introduction, but that never came to be.

Awesome OP, thank you.
It's worth noticing that this comic is meant to be called "Aliens/Predator", not "Aliens vs. Predator", latter reprints screwed that up. This detail is important because it's supposed to be a story involving aliens and a predator, not a story about aliens and a predator fighting.
I like this comic. Most AvP stories seem like retreads of previous ideas (either from movies or comics), this one tries going all out.
I think this was the first story involving either aliens or predators with genetic engineiring, let along artificially created hybrids. Alien Resurrection reminds me of this story at times.
>>77433780
wtf is this
>>77433478
That intro made her seem very donut steel desu.
>>77433478
thanks
>>77433780
wtf was that?
There should be an animated movie out of this comic.
>>77443149
In fact new Alien vs. Predator movies could be animated to better distance them from the live action ones since both monsters are getting new movies of their own now.
I want to make posters out of the covers of this series.
Next year there is going to be an alien comic called "Aliens: Defiance" that will be the only other Alien-related comic besides "Deadliest of Species" to be 12 issues long.
It will be written by Brian Wood and drawn by Tristan Jones.
The main character from the game "Alien Isolation" will have a cameo.
>>77444474
Turns out the individual covers weren't posted.
Let's fix that.

Claremont being weird. As usual.
This comic was a big deal back in the day, Claremont's triumphant return to comics after his run on X-Men, with more creative freedom than he ever had. I wonder what he thinks of it nowadays.

>>77451346
This comic is a nice example as to why editors are an important part of the creative process.
