Holy fuck I finished watching the episode 30 minutes ago and I'm still hysterical as fuck.
The credits scene was dark as fuck, just hearing the chaos without showing it was so clever. The animation as always is top fucking notch in that scene too like wow. If Alex Hirsch can end this series right Gravity Falls rightly deserves to be called one of the greatest cartoons of all time, or at least this decade. Not many cartoons know how to go all out like this and execute it so well. Jesus fuck.

Getting real for a sec here a lot of you guys just have a hateboner for Mabel. You hated her way before this episode.
She's a little girl who got upset after having a very rough day.
She and Dipper both thought they could trust Blendin. And she thought the globe was just a toy.
If Ford had been honest with everyone about the rift, about how dangerous Bill was, not to mention it's his fault that Bill built the portal through him in the first place, none of this would have happened.
Ford made infinitely more mistakes over a much longer time despite being a "genius" and an adult.

I feel like this episode tried to tackle too much and dropped a bunch of shit instead of letting it progress gradually (they easily could've swapped out Roadside Attraction/Stanchurian Candidate for something else like more Dipper/Ford interactions), I think they could've executed the Mabel thing a lot better and Blendin appearing out of fucking nowhere is jarring.

Possessing Blendin might also be a requirement for breaking Gideon out of prison, if that was Bill's side of the deal with him. A time traveller with a high tech camouflage sneak suit is probably your best bet for breaking a guy out of a high security prison.

Hypothetically, if he wasn't Bill, maybe he saw that Dipper and Mable had a falling out after the summer, so he went back in time to offer her a chance to extend summer so that she could have more than a week to come to terms with her brother leaving. If that were that case, appearing before her right then would have been the best time to do it.

I've been out of the loop for a good while, haven't been keeping up with Gravity Falls, only just caught up yesterday. Seeing as how I haven't been watching promos or trailers or following any news, I was a bit surprised to tune into tonight's episode and see IT'S HAPPENING already.
So I was wondering, are these next few episodes meant to be the end of Gravity Falls? I didn't see any confirmations for a third season. Any word from Alex or Disney about this being the final battle for real? I - I'm not ready for it to end, guys.

Since Bill does seem to be forced to hold up his end of the bargain, my guess is that:

Disregarding the Mabel fiasco, I have one question: Just what the fuck happened to the retarded-ass schedule and long-ass hiatuses? I mean, we've been getting new episodes every three weeks since July, and considering some of the atrocious waiting times from the past, it's baffling that the show finally has a competent schedule.
I'm not complaining or anything, fuck no, but until I saw the promo I was ready for the show to go into a hiatus until early 2016.

Dipper didn't mention missing his parents ONCE, only Mabel. Mabel gave the rift to Blendin BlandBill pretty quickly. For once, I think Mabel wasn't on full-hyperbole mode when she said that that was the worst day of her life. Assuming that one or more of those conclusions are correct, Mabel probably felt like all her happiness was being taken from her.

I figured that their parents were going through a divorce or a rough patch, which is why they had the kids sent away. I think it's been explicitly mentioned that Dipper, at least, has pretty much no friends back home, just vidya and conspiracy theories. Mabel can make friends out of anyone, but she gets attached quickly; she wasn't upset that she was leaving Grenda and Candy, just that they're time would be cut short.
Makes sense why they're not terribly homesick.
