He used to draw requests, not on here but on other sites. He actually drew some scarecrow monster designs for a comic I was doing at the time just because I messaged him on facebook once.
This was of course many years ago. He was hardly a fraction as popular as he is now. I don't even really follow him now after most of his tumblr posts devolved into him just complaining all the time. Nobody wants to hear that noise. Also his art and writing recently has felt oddly repetitive and machined. It's a very different personality from what it used to be. He's not a bad artist, but the more I see of him the more I feel like he might be stuck in some ultra-cartoony rut. Like I like his style, but it just hasn't evolved, just become more polished. Which is fine, really, because he does plenty of stuff outside of art.

Yeah, even after it was revealed thathe was permanently erasing Hospital staff from existence and fucking up the "natural" order, I still couldn't bring myself to hate him. Unlike Fern, who had a reason to socialize with Hospital inhabitants because she needed to find her baby, Jay just wanted to get the fuck out, and every experience he had at the start was profoundly negative and violent. He might have some pent up frustations as some of his comics might suggest and probably a less than merry time with his girlfriend but he is no nowhere on Schmorky's level of dysfunctional.
