During the early '90s, BK extended their reach and had some really strange things on the menu (e.g. shrimp platter.) They also had sit-down dining with table service (e.g. the BK Lounge.) They eventually cut all that and simplified back to the menu we know from a few years ago. Whoever is driving this at BK corporate will be fired soon and you'll see a return to the old standby.
