With every sip I remind myself that at least I'm not living in the South. It's 2016, we have the craft beer now! The most important thing is that you identify a thing that's worse than you, and you fixate on it. That way stuck up Europeans with their obsolete Stella can't make you feel bad.

If someone scoffs at anything that isn't a big name brand yes that's definitely pleb, but people that strictly adhere to that archetype are very few and far between. H.U.B. , worthy brewing, barley brown's beer, pretty much any oregon brewery is leagues past that shit, and if you live here, it isnt pretentious at all, because it tastes better, why the fuck would you drink shitty tasting beer?

Beer has a much longer shelf life than produce and meats, so there's no point in putting it on sale since it'll all sell long before it starts to go bad. In fact, most stores wouldn't even hold on to it for that long if it doesn't sell. They just have the distributor take it back and deal with it instead.

That's just them clearing overstocked items or items that were discontinued or they intend to stop carrying for various reasons.
Beer distributors generally don't allow stores to do half off sales on their products due to potentially devaluing the brand.
Plus there are also taxes on beer so selling it for half off doesn't make any sense since the same amount of taxes are still levied on production, distribution and retail sales of beer regardless of what they charge for it at retail.

I've got a half bottle of vodka that's been opened (but capped) sitting out at room temperature for a few months. Is it still safe to drink considering that the seal's been broken? I'm not particular about the taste just it's Friday, I'd like to get a little drunk and it's all I have on hand.
Pretty sure 40% liquor is fine indefinitely because of the high alcohol content, right? No need to refrigerate after opening except for taste?
