Usually it's Surface the cheapest, then SAL. EMS and AirMail depends- for lighter items, Airmail is cheaper, for heavier, EMS tends to be cheaper.

I haven't done surface in ages, so I can't say, but while SAL is usually the cheapest option in terms of price vs. time, if you're trying to get something sent to you during a busy season (around december/january for instance), it may take much longer as it only gets put on a plane if there's space. SAL has taken 2 weeks at the fastest to get to me on the west coast of the US, but it's also taken over a month before.

It really depends on what you're ordering. I've had instances where DHL of all shipping methods was cheaper than both EMS and SAL. Sometimes EMS is cheaper than SAL. Most often however SAL does turn out to be the cheapest. I'm too impatient for it though haha. If you're going with SAL though I'd recommend making sure it's Registered SAL as that comes with insurance which Unregistered SAL doesn't.

In my local card shop we have matte sleeves and all that are the perfect size for YGO cards in various colors. It would look better to have snug sleeves without having so much space and have color on just the back to make it look more even. I can post pictures of how the sleeves look in case you want to know how they look so you can get the idea of how they look.

Idolm@ster SideM is getting Super Groupie bags but they're pretty meh. Even as a big fan of S.E.M the bag is kind of dull, wouldn't go with anything I wear and not big enough to replace my base bag.
what's the best way to deal with those pesky ball chains? some of the rubber straps that I have sit really awkwardly with just a safety pin in place of the chain, but letting them dangle on the length of the chain throws off the layout and isn't the securest. I tried to wind the chain a bit around the pin to shorten it, but it looks ugly and it's hard to keep the strap facing out when I do that.
Have any of you guys canceled preorders from amiami? I'd preordered some stuff a while back for an itabag that I don't really want to make anymore, and I was hoping to cancel the preorder and save some money. I know their faq says you can't cancel preorders, but one of my friends said you can email them and cancel, they just don't like people doing it often. Any personal experiences?

If you don't want to damage your figures (in case you want to sell them on later, or use them for photography or whatever), you could take a look at DIY acrylic clutches and make a little box for them. Then either put the box at the bottom of your itabag (or glue the box to the bottom of the itabag), or you can attach a chain to the acrylic box to hang it from somewhere.
The penguins were originally delivered in a shipping box to the siblings, so if you add postmarks and mini shipping labels to the box, it's actually a nice throwback to how the siblings received them. For adding postmarks, you can try searching for clear stamps stickers, draw directly on the acrylic with sharpies, or print stuff out on clear OHP transparencies and then stick that into the box.
Just be sure to take security into account if you want to hang them outside your bag, choose a box you can close securely or something.

There's a ton of Enstars merch at second hand shops in Japan. It's ridiculously popular. I picked up everything from one of those shops.(except the plush, I won him in a crane game) Koga's merch is on the more expensive side so I didn't buy as much as other boys.

I got this bag as well and I removed the dots with polish but.. the plastic yellowed. My polish I have is yellow/greenish (I can't seem to find any clear one around me) but I did not expect it to stain the plastic, it's super weird. Has anyone had this happen? Although I picked up my bag just now and realized it's not nearly as big as I need it to be to accomodate the merch I got (I've received a bunch of stuff today and severely underestimated how huge most pieces are, pic related is all I have for my bag now and I'm still missing a few more). Maybe replacing the plastic will have to be the way to go in this case, I can make the plastic panels longer and at least get some use of it.
Either way, I'll keep in mind your advice for any future situation, thank you once again.
Finished my third Todomatsu itabag yesterday. I got the base bag at Animate while I was in Tokyo and although I do like the final look, assembling on this bag with the clear cover restricting everything took an insane amount of time and way too much accidental finger pricking. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of patience.
Also, I'll be at Fanime! Will do my best to make it to the meetup.

Oh man I feel the complete opposite, they're definitely useful! I've been wishing my fandoms had pass cases ever since I saw a friend's Love Live one. If you take any sort of public transit that uses tap based cards they're wonderful. I always have to fish my card out of my wallet but in a pass case you can carry it on your bag and use it right in the case.

I don't think they care about you making Itabags but the big companies usually only care if you use sell stuff with official art, your style is way too close to the original or are making a ton of money or advertising on their brand's reddit. Check Etsy with keywords close ot what you want to make and check other Blizzard franchises too. Riot Games doesn't care but Valve scours constantly so you'll notice anything Portal related on Etsy is marked as "Portal Inspired." Putting "inspired" in your title seems to help

Blizzard has done at least one c&d for overwatch stuff so far but iirc it was because they were using official symbols/spray art lol... I think you will be okay as long as it is your own art and you are selling small quantities. I don't think blizzard is particularly riskier than any other IP holder unless it's thrall stuff, for some reason. I'm expecting Overwatch to become pretty popular at AAs (i'm definitely doing buttons and maybe a small charm order later in the year myself, haha)

If you use a little bit of tape on the back of a sticker you can stick it to your phone then put a clear phone cover over that to make sure the stickers stay in place without any tape being noticeable and if you want to change the design, the sticker isn't stuck to your phone forever.
You can also get bootleg mini figures on AliExpress or Taobao and glue them to the outside of the phone cover.

What size is the can mirror? Coade has some can badge covers with a strap hole (ストラップ穴付き缶バッジカバー) which is what I used to attach a can magnet to one of my bags.
I'm not a huge fan of the heart bags, but I actually really like your layout, especially all the small badges on the edge.

My wego bag hasn't arrived yet but pic related is what I'm planning to use. I plan to put a few rosettes on the front and was going to try slipping it into the hook and securing it with either tape or blu-tac. I use 3m products for all my posters and frames and it hasn't damaged my wall or paper, it holds pretty strongly too.
Of course I haven't tried any of this yet, I'll report back with results when I do.
