Hmm, at first I was gonna tell everyone to calm down and that it looks like a shadow in the snow from something behind her that we can't see, but then I noticed some of the smudginess continues onto her knee where the red stripe is.
If it isn't her petticoat, I'm guessing she photoshopped the edge of the skirt to make it curve out perfectly - it could've indented slightly and she didn't like it so she tried to make the curvature/flare of the skirt more perfect.

The one you have on is kinda boxy and thick at the wrist. It hides the smallest part of your arm, overall making your arm look wider. You want something slightly puffed and loose at your upper arm that maybe ends in a little flare of lace or a ruffle at your elbow or forearm area. If you don't have shapewear yet, try it. It really makes the bodice area look better in these soft tailored dresses.

It's good to try new things. Sometimes coords look better in real life but we only have a photo to go on, and not a very high quality one. One tip is if your shoes are not a neutral (white, beige, brown, black) then your legwear choice becomes really important. Sax blue next to yellow is a non traditional combo that is a bit jarring. The same yellow/gold tights with black shoes might be ok though.
