i like this rose wig's size and style, but i have no idea why its different colors

Currently working on Peridot; in a way I can be both versions on the day.
I'm also buying my friend her Jasper cosplay supplies for Christmas so she doesn't stress about the cost of the wig and sorts. Only problem is I'm stumped on the colour of the wig. I'm going Arda since they do the long wig (she's a stiffler for accuracy and she's really tall so the Delilah is the perfect length) but I'm wondering if I should get the White/silver and dip dye it to get that pink tinge? Or get the wigs as the colour?
Anyone have any advice? I've also looked at lightest of light blonde. White on its own just doesn't look right to me.
I threw together a Rainbow Quartz for halloween but I liked it so much that I might also bring her to a convention.
What, besides the wig, could I change to make my outfit stand out? I went with purple sparkle mesh instead of iridescent organza over fear of wrinkles. Should I keep it, switch to white mesh, or look harder for quality organza?

Yeah honestly every other part of the fandom has been great from what I've seen, its always fucking Tumblr that ruins it for everyone. Especially odd because SU has such strong themes of love and acceptance, yet a few people miss the fucking point.

i like your poncho thing. maybe go for light blue instead, but it looks cool as is, and the rest of the outfit looks nice too. your wig looks great color and lace front wise, but i would tease it more to add more volume. makeup wise, i would say dont be afraid to use more- rainbow quartz is super over the top and colorful, so using a lot of makeup isnt out of place. your face would look great with some feminine contouring (pic related) to soften your features and make them look better on camera. use eyeliner, mascara, false lashes, and contacts to add extra oomph to your eyes- adding falsies to the second set of eyes also helps them look more real. the false eyes look cool though- are they prosthetic? id rotate them a bit so that the outer corners aren't so downturned. other than some makeup stuff, it looks good!
i remember someone complaining about pearl cosplayers wearing false lashes since she doesn't seem to have a lot of makeup on, but this blows all those complaints out of the water

Anyone know of a good tutorial for Rose's Sword? My gf and I are planning to do genderswap Steven and Connie for Ohayocon. Her outfit is pretty easy, and we have materials for the cheeseburger backpack on the way, but apart from wearing a mint green shirt and round glasses, I need Rose's Sword to get across the fact that I'm Connie. Any other tips would be appreciated too. We aren't brand new to cosplay, but obviously not super experienced either.

When I did Pearl I had mascara, eye liner coated over with pearly coloured eyeshadow and a bit of nude lippy and it seemed pretty okay for Pearl.
I get she's supposed to be pretty and flashy but you can (and they have) gone overboard. Rose, Jasper and Amethyst I feel can easily pull off false lashes but the rest can be toned down and still look good.

Maybe if you're able to pick up one of those giant acrylic ball/domes they use for lamps, and have a careful method to cut it into quarters... you might have something. Otherwise if you're okay with it not being transparent, paper mache a yoga ball or something a bit smaller that suits the fit of the look.

This might not help at all but in my country Lindt, the chocolatiers, bring out these massive balls of sweets at Christmas, and the actual ball is made of plastic, in two halves, that might be big enough. They might not be, I can't remember the size. I really like that this Jasper has gone to the effort to keep the gem in a plausibly nose positioning. Even if it means trimming the bottom of the gem it looks better than the high or floating ones.
