I just finished Madoka tonight, having completed the TV series and the Rebellion movie. She represents perfect love, perfect kindness, perfect benevolence. All she wanted was to help everyone, take on everyone's burden. One can see why she ascended as high as she did, only to be dragged down. I feel a mild urge to cry.

You shouldn't. Her fate was cruel but necessary. Now she has been returned to the people she loves and cares for. A young, innocent girl shouldn't have to take on the burden of the universe's suffering on her own. Neither should a depressed time traveler, but that's a story for the sequel.
