Yes, true she may not be one of the stronger characters but she is top notch supporting material.
A imaginative adolescent with an affinity for school. Dekomori Sanae seems to continually try and find a break from reality typically as fantastical escapades with her fellow chuunibyou.
It is evident that she knows precisely where the invisible boundary line is but she chooses to stay with her friend Rikka until the very last adventure.
I believe she is just a lost kid trying to find more in this world.
