i am a shy introvert with social anxieties but got a good job oppertunity in b2b sales. the people I will do business with are mostly mechanical engineers and such.

I had terrible social anxiety before I had a job at trader joes. When I had to be cashier, I was freaking the fuck out because I sucked at conversation and in order not to get fired there, you have to socialize with customers. After a week or two of doing it, I got super good at it because I just kept doing it over and over again for hours at a time.
Best way to ever overcome something I think is just throw yourself in the fire and see if you can make it out.
Seriously I had god awful social anxiety, worse than anyone I knew. You can do it, man.
Also try meditation, I know sounds cliche but it does calm the mind.

can confirm.. anxious as fuck before I started working in front desk at a Hardware store, now I talk with anyone without even thinking about it, it's like magic, also with time you start to notice that people get anxious or nervous as I prefer to call it when buying too, lots of times I laughed after the sale, when a qt started mumbling or got freezed in the middle of a sale.
So do it anon, it's the best way to overcome it.
