Hello Biz
I am going to have to make a choice of what to specialize in in my engineering school.

I got to choose between mechatronics, telematics and design

In design we will learn about cad and Catia

Telematics will pretty much be about microcomputers and circuts

In mechatronics we will build some automated systems and so fort.

I am leaning towards mechatronics but that means i wont learn about entreprenourship and building your own product which is mandatory in the other specilazations

Any thoughts are welcome

Mechatronics 2nd year here, mechatronics is a lot about putting existing technologies together to create solutions, where I study mostly in the industry field. So we focus on automation, making robots and such.

I also want to start my own business someday, and the advantage I have is that I can build my own machines.
So when I create/find a product that I want to produce and sell, I can make a factory that's fully automated.

I did electrical engineering for a year, but quit because it wasn't innovative at all. Projects and learning were so standard and felt like you weren't making or creating anything at all. I like programming, but I like to see the work that I make visually too.

If you don't like programming I would go for design (I hope industrial design), if not go for mechatronics.

project I did this year, looks pretty shit but the tech behind it is actually pretty interresting.

Is that thing just separating the red counters from the white ones?

Yeah, it's detecting the pills via camera, sorting out the red and white ones, determining position, then grabbing them once they are in range of the delta robot, placing them at their end position.

Cool. I do like programming and The design feels pretty lackluster in terms of 'industry'
