If he was smart he wouldn't have invested in uber, but sometimes fucktards make dumb decisions with their money and hit the lottery. Governments regulate taxis, existing taxi companies are vicious against competition, and there's a lot of unknown with how liable the company is if someone gets murdered or raped by an uber cabbie. It just happened to work out for them.
