This is great news and adoption by big name, well known, widely used services like PayPal is exactly what's needed to bring bitcoin into the mainstream.
Right now, you can mostly only use bitcoin to buy drugs on the darknet, but imagine if people could use PayPal to buy anywhere PayPal is accepted, which is nearly everywhere on the web. Imagine also if sellers could choose to have their payment received as bitcoin.
From the article it seems PayPal is only testing the waters right now, but it's an encouraging signal.

Steam already accepts PayPal.
The only big name online retailer that doesn't take PayPal is Amazon. Once PayPal and Amazon get on board, that's pretty much covers 95% of all online shopping.
