There is money to be made out there. An effective eWhore can make thousands of dollars per month, depending on how good they are at social engineering and how much time/effort they are willing to invest.

Here's a tip. The best methods are automated methods. One guy on /biz/ had an OKCupid profile years ago that was essentially a porn bot. It sent messages to men and sent them a sign-up referral link for a porn site. The eWhore would receive $25 for every 1 person that signed up.
It's a numbers game. Let's say .5% of people actually sign up. The profile was messaging 10,000 people a week. The eWhore would collect $1,250 per week for doing absolutely nothing, just letting the autobot run.
You've probably seen these bots on other platforms as well. Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Tinder, Instagram, etc. They're all eWhores trying to make money.
About 10 years ago the money used to be in chat rooms and sites like Craigslist and Myspace. As these became more saturated, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter emerged. These became obsolete as well, and now the current hottest platforms are mobile apps and such.

Another more direct method is to speak to the marks themselves. Download a photo pack of a girl and use apps like snapchat or kik to communicate with your target. Let them know you're selling your nude photos and get the all riled up and horny. Then give them your Paypal info or have them email you an Amazon gift card.
This method can vary in effectiveness but it depends on the quality of where you're finding your targets. Don't post on sites like 4chan - it is full of teenage NEETs who won't buy from you. But if you found a location with an older, naughtier demographic...

If you're a woman: use a business Paypal so they can't see your real name when sending you money, just your "business name".
If you're a man: use a Canadian Paypal with fake info. When doing phone verification, use the app Pinger to get a phone number to verify your account with. Use a Candian VPN when logging in. Canadian Paypals don't get limited nearly as frequently as US ones do. Once you get the money, you can convert it to bitcoin, use it on gyft, or anything you want. I belive Walmart.com accepts Paypal, and you can use it to have physical gift cards mailed to you.

Unfortunately almost all dating sites have very solid anti-spam in place. You need an army of accounts with unique proxies to do autopilot E-whoring nowadays, but if you have the skills to code a bot it's pretty ez money. I know a guy who was making $1,000/day using public proxies on a social site. He only stopped because the affiliate offer he was using stopped paying for his scummy traffic.
On that note, you can hide your traffic from networks/dating sites, but if you're making $200+/day they're going to investigate you.
