The game released September 17 2015. As of now, only the U.S and Japanese ship line is really fleshed out and detailed. Devs are working on expanding the Russian and German ship line, while British and Poland are pretty much only available to premium players (not that there's a lot of ships available in the first place)

In game, German ships are lightning fast in gun turn speed and reload times, and out-ranges almost every other countries' ships (of the same type) and has the most hitpoints. Basically. German ships are pretty good at providing artillery support and softening up targets for Battleships. They're also a real nightmare for Destroyers with how fast they can turn their guns and crank out shells at them.
Also, seems like I was wrong. There's been an update - turns out there ARE Battleships for Germany now.
