Tell you why. This board is full of newfags. Anyone who has been here for 3 years or more shit's on about how the quality of posts has dropped. These same people start best of threads or greentext threads where they are essentially requesting the "good old /b/".
They don't want OC, they just want to complain about the lack of OC while reading old content. Greentext threads used to be threads where people contributed their own OC stories, if someone liked it they capped it. Now greentext threads are the same stories.
Any OC thread will get drop to the back pages quickly because everyone is too bust with facebook, kik, texting and attentionwhore threads. No one even uses the catalog anymore, this causes threads to drop off even quicker due to lack of attention.
/b/ has become an archive of it's 2 year ago self along with being a NSFW social network.
