I'm not a moral relativist; I wouldn't say that I solved morality if I was. That said, the existence of different moral systems means you need to demonstrate, rationally or empirically (and optimally using both mechanisms) why your system is the best. The problem is assumptions that are taken as gospel. Every assumption should be challenged within your own mind if nowhere else—because if you and your culture cannot defend its moral system, it will over time fall to secularist reformers who're better at it. The spread of leftism in America comes in large part from the fact that traditionalism has taken its values as presumptive and as such became complacent. Now, the American left is doing the same thing and is suffering for it.
