I think Communism could work properly in theory, but it would honestly be impossible trying to get it to work on a national scale.

Communism requires a community spirit to exist. Think of small villages in the countryside where everyone looks out for each other, or primitive tribes where everyone knows everyone else. For small communities of this size, Communism is practically human nature; everyone will work towards a common goal of improving their lives. If a plane crashed on a deserted island, and there were say 100 people, a Communist society would form very quickly.

On too large a scale, community spirit cannot exist. Past a few hundred or so people, the human mind cannot physically keep records of everyone in the community. On the scale of millions, this community spirit that drives Communist ideology breaks down completely, as you probably know less than 0.01% of the community you're supposed to work for. This causes people to become demotivated, because of the bystander effect. They feel that they do not matter, as everyone will do everything they want for them. They will be able to just lay back and watch everyone else slave away. Since the invention of the city, society has become less and less naturally Communist.

I know it wouldn't be easy to execute, but the automation idea seems to be good, and is achievable if the elite don't act like cunts for once.
Seems better than a world where jobs are scarce, so people can be exploited or replaced. As far as stimulation goes, mind factories. It is said that 1/10000 people will make some form of original scientific contribution in their lifetimes. Why not encourage everyone to push themselves to better humanity?
Also, the lack of people needed for labour paves the ways for more entrepreneurs, so, if people do work, at least they work for themselves and refuse exploitation.

I think my biggest realization, as an american, was when I was in some higher level history classes in a university in France.
I was reading all sorts of texts from all sides and it was in this context that I learned that the United States, as great of a wartime asset as we were, merely sped up the end of the war. By the time the Soviets were able to halt the German offensive and begin their own offensive, it was merely a matter of time. The Soviets would and could singlehandedly end World War II. But as I said, the Allies helped relieve some pressure as Hitler would have to divert divisions from the Eastern Front to contend with the capitulation of Italy, for example, or you know...D-Day.

Did you ever stop to think, why the world is the way it is? Why there are governments, militaries, authorities, private ownership, etc? I can answer to you:
The world started as an anarchy but as time went by, it turned out that having others handle things like security and administration brought stability, wealth and convenience to people's lives. I assume you believe in evolution. Development of nations works like that as well; the strongest societies survive. If anything, you should be thankful that you live in a western democracy.
