I personally love Megadeth way more. Dave Mustaine is an amazing guitarist and a total badass. I also think Megadeth's songs are way harder and have better guitar work.

Even though they are cool now, that whole blood feud between Dave Mustaine and Metallica made me like resent Metallica, and I never liked them much to begin with. They started out amazing but slowly became tamer and not as good. Metallica became a lot more mainstream and sold out, they are on the road to becoming the next KISS.

If Dave Mustaine had stayed in Metallica they would have been so much better. Biggest mistake they ever made as a band was kicking him out.

I actually just went and saw Megadeth in Minneapolis and they were fucking amazing. 50+ years old and they can still fucking shred and play an awesome show.

Rust in peace is probably my favorite album out of the big four, and I liked Metallica's early sound and I hardly listen to their fourth album. Kill em All, though the studio quality was ass, is my personal favorite because that's what got me into thrash. For the record, Seasons in the abyss is probably my favourite Slayer album, but then again much of their stuff sounds the same. That is not a bad thing.

I don't know why people feel the need to shit on any of those bands. All are fucking great, influenced metal in their own way and put out great material in their prime.

Meh. I grew up with metallica but they are the shit stain of the music industry right now but megadeth still sounds awesome. But if i had to choose in the 80-90's era it'd be metallica. My favourite album by megadeth would probably be peace sells, its so good. But their recent album made a couple years ago kicks ass. Megadeth is more talented while in the early day of metallica they made the most recognizable and iconic metal songs of this generation.

Totally. The chemistry between Dave and David Ellefson is really cool. They really cared about the fans, too. Unlike most bands who fling out one or two picks they walked around on stage and tossed huge handfuls of picks to the audience in equal areas. They basically threw everything out into the audience that wasn't nailed down. Then Dave took off his arm band and wiped his face off all over it and tossed that out as well.
