This is not proof of a flat earth, but a mathematical expression of the behaviour of an idealised aircraft in and ideal situation with fewer variables in order to simplify the calculation.

It's funny seeing your reasoning to keep yourself blind, and blissful.

Even though you won't ever really be happy,

Its real, the pain you feel
The life, the love you'd die to heal
The hope that starts the broken hearts
You trust, you must

There is a purpose, and it's the answer to why everyone is so fucked up in the head.

"Some people claim there is no motive for such a grand-scale deception and that flat or a ball makes no difference. By removing Earth from the motionless center of the Universe, these Masons have moved us physically and metaphysically from a place of supreme importance to one of complete nihilistic indifference. If the Earth is the center of the Universe, then the ideas of God, creation, and a purpose for human existence are resplendent. But if the Earth is just one of billions of planets revolving around billions of stars in billions of galaxies, then the ideas of God, creation, and a specific purpose for Earth and human existence become highly implausible. By surreptitiously indoctrinating us into their scientific materialist Sun-worship, not only do we lose faith in anything beyond the material, we gain absolute faith in materiality, superficiality, status, selfishness, hedonism and consumerism. If there is no God, and everyone is just an accident, then all that really matters is me, me, me. They have turned Madonna, the Mother of God, into a material girl living in a material world. Their rich, powerful corporations with slick Sun-cult logos sell us idols to worship, slowly taking over the world while we tacitly believe their ā€œscience,ā€ vote for their politicians, buy their products, listen to their music, and watch their movies, sacrificing our souls at the altar of materialism. To quote Morris Kline, ā€œThe heliocentric theory, by putting the sun at the center of the universe ... made man appear to be just one of a possible host of wanderers drifting through a cold sky. It seemed less likely that he was born to live gloriously and to attain paradise upon his death. Less likely, too, was it that he was the object of Godā€™s ministrations.ā€

Exactly. The religious are just sad that for 2000 years they've been on the wrong side of history and gradually, as society becomes increasingly liberal (indicated by the trends now and a history of ALL societies growing progressively liberal, not conservative and religious), their religion won't even mean anything to anybody.

Even if the Earth is flat and you're all right, nobody believes you and the world looks at you as nutjobs. So it's a win-win for me, I don't even care, frankly, if you're right. I just view the religious as being incapable of guiding themselves.

I mean look at this shit >>687831715 , he really thinks that unless we're the literal center of the universe, we're worthless. Goes to show how these people think. Bunch of mental midgets too weak to be their own torch, and instead need to grab onto something bigger for guidance.

Literally can't wait to drink their salty tears when every country in the world ends up a secular, liberal paradise.

Yes, there is lots. I enjoy my life very much, and I appreciate humanity's progress.

>can walk up to a corner store and buy food that I know has been guaranteed sanitized and safe for consumption
>the list goes on

You lot choose to focus on all the negatives which just further solidifies my point about the irrational butthurt you have for being wrong. That's all it boils down to. There's no reason whatsoever to not enjoy the luxuries of the first world, industrial society, unless you're just mad that you realized all your inbred ancestors and their religion(s) failed. They failed to keep control over society, which is the only reason they were founded in the first place.

>Pretends to be Engineer to bring validation to shitty reasoning.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer too, and normally we calculate things to be built as we see them.

We don't build domes, and make them square because the math is easier.

Does that make any logical sense?

I'm an Electric engineer and I simplify every fucking thing I can. Then I check whether I oversimplified by doing a computer simulation. Diode? Fuck exponential curves, that's just a constant voltage drop. Didn't work? Okay, maybe it's a voltage drop plus a resistance.

Also, if the Earth is flat, why doesn't the atmosphere fall off the edge?
>>
>>687827336
The report does not prove that the Earth is flat.

The report derives and defines a set of linearized system matrices for a rigid aircraft of constant mass, flying in a stationary atmosphere over a flat, nonrotating earth.

Hm, and what's the common denominator with most if not all of those places?

Religious. Funny, isn't it, that religion and God are supposed to be the saviors, but all the 3rd world shitholes that buy into that are still shitholes while the developed world who abandoned it have become splendid.

This is basic logical reasoning.
>>
>>687836541
It's not NASA that proved that the Earth is round. It was Aristoteles (or some other Greek philosopher who looked at how the sun shines into wells), and later Magellan who circumnavigated the globe.
>>
>>687836761
Eratosthenes proved the Earth was 25k miles in circumference measuring shadows without leaving Egypt in 200 BC.

You think he had a fucking clue?
>>
>>687836761
Circumnavigation doesn't prove that the Earth is spherical.
>>
>>687836761
I didnt say NASA proved the Earth was round (unless you count their photographs as proof).
>>
>>687836959
Yes, I do. Because I actually understand the mathematics he used. It's called geometry. Look it up, it explains a lot of things. Even why the Earth is round.
>>
>>687827336
Before anyone falls for this, the picture in question is about flight in a simplified version of Earth's atmosphere, disregarding the small or unpredictable forces arising from wind, the centripetal force of traveling along the surface of an immense sphere, and the coriolis forces created by that sphere also being in a very slow rotation.

Also "mathematically" there are THOUSANDS OF FEET OF MISSING CURVATURE.

Using the Pythagorean theorem, that calculates to an average curvature of 7.98 inches per mile or approximately 8 inches per mile. The distance to the horizon in miles from height of an observer is approximately equal to 1.23 times the square root of the height in feet.

You just put blind faith in a bunch of morons who want to control you.

holy fuck mate, you're severely retarded
>>
>>687827336
wrong board m8, you belong in /sci/
>>
>>687839077
A pear is still quite far from a pancake.
Also, it's because the Earth's rotation causes a "bulge" at the equator. The effect is just too small to see in those pictures. If there's one taken during a "full earth" and from a point directly above the equator, you may be able to see the effect if you use a circle draw tool to draw a perfect circle around the Earth.
