I work at a job where I only make 14 dollars an hour. I tried to go to college but only passed half the classes. I don't feel bad about it. Some people are meant to be successful and smart and some people are not. The world needs people like janitors and shit. It doesnt bother me, it's how things are.
Because of this I will never consider having a child. I don't actively look for love. I live an apartment, I work as much as I can and pay my bills and try to eat healthy. That's my life.
I have a friend who lives off SSI (800 dollars a month) with a girlfriend who works a minimum wage job. He smokes weed and says "If I get a job they'll take it out of my ssi money, and my ex girlfriend could take child support from me, why would I want a job?". He has three children with his current gf and two with his ex. They live in a two bedroom rented house which is always filthy.
My other friends compare me to him all the time. My own life doesnt bother me but my own friends thinking I'm less successful than him because I don't have kids kinda hurts.
