There is a systemic issue with this, and you are a retarded troll. Addition and subtraction both occur within the parentheses. Without a meaningful context it's anybody's game. If we were adding and subtracting integers of a like assignation the equation itself would be flawed because order of real operations and not simply theoretical non designated operations simply would not apply meaningfully. Generally in this case add/subtract and multiply/divide move left to right, so only parentheses and exponents take individual precedence whereas multiplication/division and addition/subtraction use a sequential notation. As such... god I can't believe I have to clarify math I learned in high school or that ops leading post guided so many so hard..

Then of course, you get 16. If you read it as

8/(2*4)

You get 1. Which one is correct is unclear, and pemdas does not alleviate the ambiguity, as there's not actually any difference between multiplication and division.

You didn't really multiply and divide 8 by a half, you just rewrote the multiplication twice.

They aren't the same operation you tard, they are inversely of one another. It's read as 8 divided by 2, or 8 times 1/2

Inherently different functions, 7/3/7/7/4(5) is gonna go left to right because the reason pemdas is left to right, is because of single line entries like so. The problem is the division sign, multiplication can be done in any order but division can not. Same with substraction and addition.
