as for body fat, look for a gym or a fitness clinic with an inbody electronic scale, they give you a fairly accurate reading in 1 minute

Yeah I'm plenty strong. Can squat 230keg but I need to lose weight because my goal is to enter the military. But need to lose 10kg before they take me on.

I used to have a perfect diet that I would follow setup by a nutritionist along with an exercise plan that I would follow. Eg go to the gym 7 times a week. At least 1hr 45min a session. Did this for four months. Body shape didn't change. Didn't lose weight and just got stronger.

This is by far one of the most common myths about losing weight. Despite what late night paid advertizing will tell you, you can't target fat to lose. It all has to go in the reverse order that it came. Basically, if your gut got fat first, then your ass, then your legs, etc, you would have to work out with any exercises and the fat would start disappearing in that reverse order i.e legs, ass, gut, etc. So basically, if you want to lose weight in certain regions, you're just going to have to do proven weight loss techniques, i.e mainly diet, plus at least some exercise and lose weight from your whole body until those regions are what you want them to be.

You need more meals. You're not eating enough and your metabolism is probably slow as shit.

total broscience. fat is burned through an energy deficit, and increased activity/decreased intake forces the body to use stored energy to recover. fucking with insulin levels, for non diabetics, makes essentially zero positive difference. the reason LISS is generally recommended for fat loss is because the low intensity allows you to move for significantly longer than HIIT, and increasing the distance you move increases the calories burned. go and do 15 mins of interval training, track those calories, and compare it to an hour of LISS. guaranteed you'll be burning 3-4x the calories, simply for having moved a significantly longer distance.

i've been lifting for years, competed in powerlifting, and most of my friends are similar. we're the type people are most intimidated by, but we're generally the most accepting and understanding among gym regulars. i could barely squat just the bar for reps when i started, and i was ~30kg heavier than you are now.
i'd recommend hopping on starting strength, stronglifts 5x5, or the ICF 5x5. most people are just there to lift, so as long as you're not a flamboyant asshole you're totally fine. hell, i'd be willing to bet any amount of money that the bigger/more experienced gymrats would be honored to help if you asked for advice.

I'm with ya /b/ro.
I'm 6' 8" and have never weighed over 165 lbs. I'm 50 yrs old now. Done hard physical labor my whole life, and do yoga daily too. I eat healthy, and have tried to gain weight (yes, even with unhealthy foods), but my body type will not let me. I am Skeletor! Yes, I do have Marfans Syndrome, b4 anyone asks. I can't do milk based protein powders and shakes cuz milk.. It does not do my body good. My best suggestion is to eat about 6 small meals a day (who has time, amirite?); you can make them snacks, like dried fruit and nuts. More cardio would be good for me I think. I need more energy. But yoga makes me feel good. Rambling now.

Did paleo as a bet and I dropped like 15 lbs in 5 weeks.

Paleo does work wonders but I hated the diet. Even so I felt better and had more ebergy so even though the vet is over I still eat cleaner

you're a moron. resistance training has been shown a multitude of times to lower all-cause mortality, risk of many forms of cancer, and lower the risk of developing osteoporosis. additionally, it will help maintain healthy joints and strength into your elder years which will help prevent you from becoming reliant on others.

Hey man , I'm currently losing weight, I'm male 19 5'8" currently at 211lbs , my heaviest was about 245lbs so I already lost more than 30lbs.
The thing is I think I might have Gynecomastia, my chest is simply huge and I posted photo on weight loss forums and they agreed that I have indeed Gynecomastia. My question is : I have two dumbbell and a bench at home, would doing chest exercise help reducing my chest ( losing fat ) or would it make it more noticeable because of the gyno ?

I know you can't spot reduce, so I'm wondering if I should do some chest exercise along with cardio ( bike, haven't started yet)
Also , in the last month or so I noticed a lost a bit of weight, my cloth are looser but the weight displayed on the scale remains the same.
