you want while length(r) > 0 for the while statement, and then to dequeue the first element of r (I assume r contains the roots) and then you have some code that determines whether it's even or odd and you use the switch statement to print the correct thing

using a switch statement is really dumb, though, it'd be much easier to use an if statement

Induced current is the result of an enduced emf produced by the absolute value of N(d/dx(flux)).
Flux is int(BdA).
In other words.
If there exists no field, the contour integral comes out as zero, thus the flux is zero. If the flux is zero, there exists no change in flux, thus there is no enduced emf.
If there is no enduced emf there is no induced current.

I really hope your final does not include induction stuff because you really need to study more or get a better professor if you are allowed to say these kinds of things.
