If you're in a losing match up you need to make things happen elsewhere. If you're mid/top try and roam/tp to make plays elsewhere on the map. If you're bot lane things are a bit tougher and generally you just have to focus on getting the ADC some gold so that they stay relevant until they outscale their opponent (which usually happens when you're being bullied by a strong laner).

I personally hate the concept of a surrender button.
Yeah, it's at 20 minutes when at least the early game is already done with, but just having it promotes situations where people will say "gg surrender at 20" at 5 minutes into the game, where nothing is really established.
At least in Dota, you can go from being destroyed for 30ish minutes to winning post 40. It all depends on skill and team composition. When there is an easy way out people will just not care about what might happen and will just sit in base until they can surrender, or just surrender prematurely.

5 minutes into league establishes a lot more than 5 minutes into dota. the game is immensely faster. i think a more accurate comparison would be 5 minutes of league to 10-15 of dota.
dota's comeback mechanics are also different, because farm and tower safety is usually assured with things like tp scrolls.
you have not really played any league and don't have any base for comparing the two, so i do not know why you are bothering.

If someone wants to argue they prefer Lol over Dota then whatever, that's what they like, but to say Dota is inferior to Lol for _____ reason is just wrong.
Average game time in League is approx 35 minutes. The average game of Dota is approx 45 minutes. these aren't drastic enough numbers to claim that 5 minutes of League is equivalent to 10-15 minutes of Dota.
It isn't just cast points and turn rate that make the games different. There are things like Denying, using a courier, the side and secret shop, activatable items, gold loss on death and many other things that add another level depth to the game. You might not like it, it may not be fun to you, but to say that these additions to the game make it worse than League is silly.
Towers are also not always safe. TP scrolls cost gold and have a cooldown period of a minute, and subsequent TPs to the same location increase the TP time for others.
There are a lot of small things that happen in dota that casual people or bad players don't understand and wind up frustrating them. If you're not shit at the game and can understand it you'll appreciate it. Then you play a game like League which is much more simple and doesn't feel nearly as fufilling.

i was 4k solo before i quit in 2014. i understand, at least at a minimal level, how to play the game.
*just because one cannot auto their own creeps in league does not mean that the concept of denying farm is nonexistent; i'd argue that it's easier at a shallow level and more complicated at a deeper level, because it relies moreso on character positioning and an understanding of lane mechanics to prevent your wave from being pushed under turret or to push your opponents wave under turret.
*the courier actually makes the game immensely easier because you don't give up objective control to buy items.
*regardless of what the mechanics of tp scrolls in dota are, the fact that they exist means that positioning and defending objectives is easier than it is in league.
*gold loss is probably a good mechanic, but league has fragile comeback options, and it wasn't balanced with that in mind.
honestly the only things i miss are invoker and stacking.
dota is an inferior game to league not because league is less complicated, but because league is more fun. we're playing games here, remember? games which are ultimately meant to be fun?
