I currently work with 18-24 year old adults whos only disability is a mild intellectual.

The problem is in their upbringing, theyve been raped, tortured, abused and neglected and as a result they have no idea how to hold a job or friendships. You can hold a conversation with them fine but you never know when they might try to take a swing or light you on fire.

At the end we had the music room, fifth and sixth grade, and the tards room. I have a lot of experience with tards in later years but I'm on mobile. Turns out he cracked his head or some shit. I doubt it did did more harm than good. I never got in trouble for it, but he vanished the next year because he brought pizza of himself to school and showed it off. Not sure what the fuck was up with that tard.

There was an entire family of mental cases in my hometown. Their oldest son had become a druggie, compulsive criminal and all-around too retarded for civilization. Yet he was the "healthiest" of the bunch.

The children of the family never had a chance to play outside their family, because both their parents were psychotically paranoid about being cheated by anyone. When they were committed they had to be put in separate rooms because every time the father saw another man he would start raging that he was going to steal his wife, and every time the mother saw another woman she would start screaming about the whore trying to seduce her husband.

Their younger son was the poorest case of them all, as he had literally no self-agency whatsoever. He did literally nothing without being told to, which included shitting/pissing himself if no one told him to go to the bathroom. When told to go to the bathroom AND to pee in the toilet, he would just continue to stand there with his dick in his hands until someone ordered him to do something else.

In tard classes it's completely segregated and it take years yo "earn" being one even one normal class.

Any sort of mental health issue, or behavior issue is sent threre.

Kids with ADD/ADHD in same classes as kids like Burky, King Of Owls.


It's just a dumping ground and keeps em out of the public. It eats your childhood, and doesn't allow kids to learn vauable social skills.

I got a weird/sad one from elementary with a fucked up epilogue.

Around first grade I became aware of a kid, we'll call him Corey. Corey looked a little like the banjo playing guy in deliverance. Smooth face, big forehead, slanted squinty eyes set far apart. Had a nasty mass of red ratty hair. Corey's idea of socializing was to tease people until they beat him. He also had a habit of shitting himself, picking his nose/eating his boogers no matter what, and a total immunity to learning anything. He still didn't completely grasp the difference between addition and subtraction by 5th grade and was totally illiterate.

All that aside, when he wasnt being irritating he was just a lonely, shrimpy little kid. He had all these brothers though. one in every grade stretching upwards or downwards of him. The older brothers looked more normal aside from the de-facto lack of hygene. The two younger ones were really bad off. His youngest brother looked like a shriveled cheeto in a wheelchair. One day in 5th grade he just stopped coming to school with corey. Corey didn't answer anybody's questions about it, ours or the teachers. Aside from his fights getting more frequent he got incredibly quiet.

Long story short, CPS finally got involved and found out that Corey and all his brothers were incest children bred by a dad/daughter/brother/mother group on the edge of town. they lived in a few broken trailers filled with trash with no running water. They lived like animals. I'm pretty sure corey's little brother probably got sick/died and the family just buried/discarded the body.

I later found out that the whale leader spilled his soda and didn't apologize or buy him a new one. When he got mad at her, she started laughing, which threw him into this episode.

Also, I forgot to mention that Frank could talk 100%, but most of the time his sentences were either unintelligible or just did not make any sense (eg. "Bring me the Sun", "Where can I drink more tables" "My mother has a tail with two heads" were just some from the top of my head). He would mostly yell, either the whole sentences or just the last word of the sentence.

The problem is not abuse or even mental retardation, because all human beings understand cause and effect, it is actually how others respond. With the exception of those who display sexually inappropriate behavior, which is most likely a manifestation of being denied their primal urges their entire lives, these individual's use their maladaptive behavior in order to communicate and ultimately get their wants and needs met. Try it. The next time your mother, girlfriend, sister, etc. force you to go shopping for an extended period of time and refuse to leave when you simply ask them, start banging your head on a clothing rack. A friend of mine is engaged to a retard who got brain damage from being strangled by her own umbilical cord as a fetus. She is über-dependant to the point of calling him every 5-10 minutes, and he cannot get too far away from her because if there's an electric outage or something she might freak out.
