I have run some simulations.
the first duck has 81% chance of winning, the 90 degrees rotated duck got 92% chance of winning,
and another 74% chance that it will end in a draw

Given that the gravity stays the same, the rotated duck, despite it being the same duck as the upward duck, will lose the upper hand as it will create stress of blood flow to the brain and the gyro mentality of all birds, which forces them to have their heads stable in upward position, will go into kaput.
But, in a given time, the rotated duck will adapt to its current condition, and in a few hundred years in this situation, the duck will evolve into much versatile creature it was once was. It will develop a new sense of direction of perspective, and from the strain of blood flow, the duck will live longer because the cells have evolved into a rapid metabolism mode. I'd say, time is the only deciding factor in this horrid battle between the two creatures.
