Basically someone opened a huge themepark for fluffies and their owners. The ferals found out and all went to Cleveland en masse.
It was a disaster because of some political bullshit, greed, and an attempt to replace fluffies with the new "Fuzzy" war practically erupted as hundreds of millions invaded cleveland.
After the U.S. military pulled out. The fluffies began a massive orgy and because of all the shit in the sewer system it created a huge explosion. Cleveland was no more.
Basically the damage the fluffies caused by having a huge migration with crops, power being lost (general fluffy stupidity), and the destruction caused by Cleveland lead to a lot of politic issues.
