I think my problem is that they are going up the trees and getting onto my roof with the branches and entering all over the house through there. There isn't any particular source or room where the ants seems to be emanating from. Like, I've seen them in my bathroom, my kitchen, my living room, my bedroom, etc.

I believe I did. The thing was labeled as 'ant-bait granules' which I think they're supposed to eat and die from. Hopefully they'll take some back to the colony and the queen will die from it. Although I bought some ant traps a week ago which is supposed to do the same thing but the ants don't seem to be going for those.
