Begotten
>>676227476
This movie was such a mindfuck when I first saw it.
>>676228249
Amazing choice! Here's mine
in no particular order...
>>676228583
Someone spoiled it for me about the way it was playing(being vaugue as to not spoil it for anyone else) but I still loved the last words he said
"Now... Where was I?"
>>676228918
>>676228918
The Hunt was better
>>676227348
ayyy
>>676229169
i'm not following you...
they are two completely different movies...
>>676228940
yeah it really is such a unique film.
i'll probably be shit on for this but whatever
>>676229605
yea but they both start with "The"
>>676227535
I haven't seen this yet but wasn't it supposed to be shit? The book was god tier tho.
>>676228918

i love this movie, but i really only watch to see ledger as the joker
>>676229781
I don't get why you'd be shit on for that
maybe from kids?
>>676230054
>implying rip-offs can't be good
>>676229872
People say it's shit. I don't see it. The acting was good, the cinematography was good, the story was good. I love it. Watch the first 15-20 mins and if you don't like it then turn it off.
>>676230054
yeah. that movie was pretetious as fuck. it was super artsy but in no way as clever as it thinks it is...
Alien
>>676227901
Loved the first two acts, hated the ending, had absolutely no closure in my opinion; everyone died, the end.
>>676227348
This movie sucks
>>676227348
i saw this movie twice and I didn't understand it at all. can you tell me a summary of wtf happened in this movie in 3 sentences or less?
>>676230018
lol my mom saw that and loved it, and now she keeps going around telling people to watch "The Room"
>>676230179
that movie was one of the best films ev0r!
>>676227535
Such an incredible, underrated movie. The music was beautiful, and the stories were compelling.
well, akira.
I will never not love this movie, ive watched it so many times.

>old dude can't remember the life he chose
>recites on all the lives he could've lived in great detail
>time ends and eventually everything goes in reverse so that he gets to relive them all I think?
>>676230034
Actually a decent movie. Henry Rollins is shit at first, but eventually he gets the subtleties of his character. I liked it.
>>676230195
most people I talk to say things like "dude, that movie didn't make any fucking sense" and stuff like that. but I still remember the suspenseful/mysterious/dreadful feeling I got when I first watched it as a teenager, and no movie has made me feel that way since
>>676230021
most people either really hate the film or really love it. if you see movies as an art-form rather than a way to kill time you'll probably enjoy it
>>676231110
>>676231024
I was ultimately disappointed. Gaiman fan here.
I feel like a lot of you bros would enjoy this. Michael Fassbender at his absolute best.
>>676230476
THANK YOU! Every person hates on it!
>>676230882
And I play Hotline Miami too, which is also the best game ever made.
>>676230923
oddly enough its one of those movies you appreciate as you watch it more and more, whether its things you miss or just subtleties of certain characters and getting a grasp on the meaning behind different story telling elements.
>>676231276
>>676231354
i like hotline miami though
>>676231215
It's like they wrote the role for Rollins. Perfect.
Can't what for the new stuff whenever it comes out.
>>676231235
I get why you'd rate it up there. Stanley Kubrick always makes me feel weird.
>>676231496
How can you dislike Drive yet enjoy Hotline Miami? The creators of Hotline were literally inspired by Drive.
>>676227348
The Fountain
Science-fiction wise this movie was a big deal to me, propably seen it more than 10 times by now
>>676231300
When people mention Fassbender, this is the first movie that comes to mind.
>>676231489
1&2 are GOAT, Army of Darkness is pretty solid, and the remake was solid if uninspired.
10/10 personally
>the score
>the cinematography
>the performances
>the editing
>the mystery
>the tension
>the atmosphere
Each element working perfectly with each other
>>676231187
Post some of yours then m8
>>676230724
Can't hate.. It's pretty damn great
Pic is mine.
I know it's new and all but damn this movie is fantastic. Steve Carell's character was awesome
>>676231872
>>676231992
>Stevie boy actually making serious moves in the movie biz.
I loved him in The Way Way Back. I think hes very underrated.
>>676231758
Shit was confusing yo, had to watch it again with the captions again to piece it all together
>>676232016
I've seen that movie far too many times on TBS to like it anymore.
>>676231785
Same, despite his breakthrough into the mainstream I feel like people still vastly underestimate his capabilities because of movies like Prometheus which don't showcase a lot of depth.
>>676232016
Don't think this is as god-tier as the rest of what I've posted, but as far as horror-comedy goes this is gold
>>676227348
the gargoyles movie.
i like to dress up as Goliath
not everybody thinks that its cool, but i finally met a girl who thinks im a 10/10 would bang like bam in my Goliath suit.
she'd come over sometimes while her boyfriend was away after school.

once the door would close she'd almost instantly get naked. most times she'd put on her favorite song and start sucking. then she would cry. her tears and makeup would drip down her face onto my dick. its surprising how cold tears are. eventually i finally asked her what was wrong. in between licks she told me that her favorite song was also her bfs favorite song. so even though she loved hearing it and it totally got her pussy wet, it also made her think about the fact that she was cheating on her boyfriend. i dont think i ever came harder down somebodies throat then right after she told me that. she was beautiful. we dont hang out anymore. wanna get lunch?

this was the song:

The man who knew too little is my favorite comedy, I wish more people would talk about it, I think it's hugely underrated
>>676232942
>>676233191
I really wish he had fucked that asian chick. Or had any sort of chemistry with that asian chick.
>>676233191
This is one of those movies I can watch over and over and not get sick of it. Perfect for just hanging out.
>>676227476
shit-tier.
worst hour and whatever of my life.
some dumb asshole cant remember shit, the end.
>>676233038
Original was way more intense than the American
I was pretty happy to see this one.. Surprised it didn't get more traction. The depiction of the camaraderie was excellent.
>>676228144
chek'd
my begotten story
I saw this in the theatre when it was released.
About half walked out during the course of the first act.
Everyone who remained sat through to the end credits.
When the lights came on & everyone filed out in absolute silence.
The only film screening where an American audience never clapped at the end.
>>676232486
FMJ has one of the best endings ever put to screen

That movie was terrible..
Question to the obv based moviefags,
Alien, or Aliens
Which is the better movie in your opinion?
>>676231641
Not my favourite but definitely a must-see for dry comedy lovers. It's a mockumentary by Hitoshi Matsumoto, the Gaki no Tsukai guy, and it's fucking hilarious, even if you don't like Japanese culture like myself.
Btw, the North American box art looks autistic, but the movie is much better than it looks.
>>676234341
>>676234584
Alien by a long shot.
>>676230724
I really liked it too and even though about buying the jacket. Plus I liked THE PLACE BEHIND THE PINES
>>676234584
hard to compare; they're so wholly different in purpose.
>>676234584
Though both are excellent, I find Aliens to be the more enjoyable film.
you all lost
>>676234698

>>676234584

Alien

This is an opinion thread you moron
>>676231962
I can't agree more. It's my favorite movie too!
>>676234584
Alien is the better movie, but I enjoy Aliens more.
>>676234463
bait harder.
>>676230724
it's probably some of the best quiet-guy acting ever done.
>>676234698

>>676231758
Fucking thank you. My favorite movie of all time.
>>676236152
No one really knows but there are some plausible explanations online. Basically *spoilers* the first 3/4 of the movie was the blonde main character dreaming that she was actually the brunette main character in some sort of masturbatory fantasy.
Anything by Kubrick.
Cried my eyes out and than cried some more.
>>676236327
This movie makes me feel
>>676236327
Another surprising one.
Started out really good. Ended kind of meh though.
>>676236327
This may be the only Jim Carrey movie that I actually like. Mask was fun, though.
So god damed predictable . like what a supprise ....everybody dies PANTS
>>676236804
Say what you want about the rest of these but the first one was actually a solid action/adventure flick
>>676234584
Alien. Both are amazing though.

>>676234584
>>676234896
>>676234914
Both true. I find Alien to be the best portrayal of the Xeno, the ultimate biological unstoppable killing machine. Aliens added a lot, and is IMO the best sequel of all time. I dislike 'Newt', she's the Jar Jar of Aliens. Everyone died (or captured), but this one child... Everyone. Even her brother, with whom she played with in the vents (sure she 'wins' because she fits in places etc.) but c'mon. And just as Ripley is on the back foot after she found out her daughter died? (enter Alien: Isolation, best game ever made. Again, IMO).
One Xeno took out the Nostromo's crew bar one. An infestation took out a colony bar one...
Both are great movies, I find Aliens hard to get immersed in like I do with Alien. But that is no decry of Aliens, Alien is a top 3 movie for me, Aliens is a top 5.
