I haven't tried Adderak, but I got Modafinil for several years. I didn't like it. It does increase your focus, but it also makes you twitchy and nervous, and there's virtually no sense of euphoria. It also lasts a long fucking time, which makes it difficult to sleep.
I've since moved on to Ritalin, which is simply better than Modafinil in every way, though still not enough for me.
Really wish I could try Adderal, but it's much harder to get in my country than in the US. It's a last resort kind of thing.

I take it every day for ADD. I wouldn't be able to function at work without it as I have some crazy focus issues. It helps you a ton if you want to cram for a night or two, don't take it daily or you build a tolerance to it and get an "even" feeling after a week or two of taking it. Adderall is amazing, and it's not very dangerous unless it's taken daily (ironic for people who actually have ADD, such as myself)

Adderall will make you LOVE doing absolutely anything. It's literally a fun and focus pill. I would dive into work and take pages and pages of notes and not even get up to pee, for like 8 hours straight sometimes.

If you can get your hands on it, it'll help. But don't take it too late in the day or it'll keep you up at night. Adderall IR (regular) lasts 4 hours, and adderall XR (extended release) lasts 7 hours. If you're taking adderall IR, you can redose 4 hours apart. Redose XR 7 hours apart. It takes one hour to kick in.

If you take it for too many days in a row, such as to cram or do projects, then stopping will cause you to crash, and you'll feel really unfocused and depressed. It would be handy to save a bit for the crash day to lessen the withdrawal. You can also buy 5-HTP, a serotonin replenishing supplement (OTC), for the crash day and it will help.

Have fun, guys. One more thing - make sure you actually try to do work when you take it. It allows you to be completely absorbed by whatever you choose to do. A lot of times instead of studying I would play guitar for hours and waste valuable time.

It's a good idea to plan your dosing schedule beforehand and adhere to it. If you know you're going to want to take a second dose, be sure to take it right at the 4 or 7 hour mark. You want it to pick you right back up before it drops you, or it won't work well. Time moves really fast on adderall, so it's a good idea to set an alarm.

It has helped me on tests, but make sure you know when it's time to finish one thing and move on to the next. It's more difficult to stop something on adderall than it is to start something. Don't waste all your exam time on one half of the test.

Adderall is amazing for partying - it makes introverts LOVE to socialize. It'll make you incredibly confident and you'll find it easy to speak to people. You'll also be really happy. It's great - at one point I was going around and finding people who seemed like they were having bad days, and I just instinctively knew how to make them happy.

My doctor referred me to a specialist to see I needed to be prescribed something I'm pretty sure I have adhd but I also have anxiety atacks. It's good not to take a big dose at once, as someone above me said. New users can safely start with 10 mg. Keep in mind that only adderall IR (instant release, the 4 hour one) can be cut into smaller pieces. If you're given a 20 mg IR pill, you can cut it into two 10 mg pieces.

Adderall XR (extended release) looks like the picture OP posted. They have beads inside them. Some of them release instantly, and others release 4 hours later. There's no way of knowing which beads are which, so it doesn't make sense to divide them up.

However, you can divide the XR dose in half. If you take a 30 mg XR pill, that's actually 2 ~15mg doses you're taking that will automatically space apart.
