This is bait as is always but i'll give it an answer cause i'm downloading something and have nothing better to do.

First atheist nowadays is more like a term people call themselves to be edgy 12 year olds. Most people who don't believe simply say I not religious where I came from and try not to use that word that neckbeards ruined.

As for me, its amazing to thing about where we came from but there is way to many holes in the logic. First, now that stuff has been proven wrong in a book people say just don't take it literally. That is just dumb why write something in code if you want people to follow it till they die? Plus it never made since that the religion you group up in is always the right one and all others are false even though its pretty much the same people in each book.

That being said, its still impossible no matter what. I grew up in a religious house and was forced to go to church until I moved out. For some of the reasons I listed I just stopped going to church because it made no sense. The breaking point for me was when I sat with a priest and asked, "If God really made us, who made God?". His reply was it really doesn't matter human curiosity only exists on earth. To which I lost all respect after that.

Unlike most retarded atheists I have actually read the bible and understand it's not a history book. I do believe in god but I don't belive the bible is to be taken word for word as a fact. As for the science standpoint we don't know for a fact how life originated and how the universe came to be. All we have are accepted theories. You can be an agnostic atheist, a gnostic atheist, an agnostic theist or a gnostic theist.

Your comment suggests that atheists claim to know that god doesn't exist, and theists claim to know that god does exist.

Take aliens for example, I have no evidence that aliens exist, so I don't believe in them, but I think that there is a strong possibility that they do.

Not believing in something does not mean believing in its non-existence.

Religiosity is probably best depicted on a point where agnosticism-gnosticism is on one axis and atheism-theism on the other.

I know that when I die nothing happens, because the evidence says that our brains die, not that our consciousness leaves our bodies and goes somewhere else. You think we'd be able to measure something like that.

Because of this, I probably enjoy life more than you do. My life isn't just scoring points for the afterlife or suffering through pointless shit because "it'll be better in the next life," I understand the universe doesn't give a shit about me and I'm here virtually alone but I have friends and family and fun times ahead so I'll cherish that while I can instead of holding my hands over my ears in the fetal position trying to convince myself that the cosmos gives a fuck about our insignificant little planet.

In my experience, people who are raised in a religious household, often don't understand what they say say they believe. They often reply with "I was raised like that" to which I say it is the parents fault. They teach us to talk, to write and to read. We take their word as gospel [pardon the pun] but we should not have their beliefs taught to us. Coming from a teenager who was raised catholic but has since found his own comfort in Atheism. Although, i disagree with the term 'Atheist.' A comes from greek which meand 'non' and theist is from latin meaning 'believer' and so it means, non believer. But that makes the assumption that there is something to believe in.
