Any "radicals" like Sanders or Obama are either sheepdogs, or wolves in sheep's clothing (respectively).

And in the meantime, our police are more militarized, our carrots sweeter, our sticks harder.

Put simply, our government learned from the Soviets how to well and truly control a society. They know what works and what doesn't. Everyone in America hates what it's become but we're powerless to change it with the tactical and strategic awareness we have.
