When will the krav maga meme end, /asp/? It's as choreographed as Jet Li films and teaches nothing about real-life situations where you're up against actual, uncooperating opponents.
>Choose Krav Maga over Jiu Jutsu.
I feel bad for you, son.
http://www.bullshitexposed.com/krav-maga-is-bullshit/ This guy pretty much explains it as it is, which is lucky because I now don't have to sit here typing it out myself.

sambo is what krav maga should be.

I wish Murrica would just stop having any opinions about martial arts.
We are well aware that your local disregard of sanity means that quality assurance among your martial arts is simply not possible.
However, other countries actual standardize their martial arts and have large national groups that make sure everything runs properly.
Do not judge an art based on a McDojo experience.
Why are you posting on the wrestling board?

It's kinda sad to think that had that guy not rushed his execution, he'd still be alive today.

>that video on eye gouging
Ridiculous. The krav maga disarming techniques works well, and it's really all it is about.
I'd say it depends a lot on your specific gym.
I trained at one that took time out to learn verbal de-escalation, what to do when in touch with the law, how to spot possible weapons in guys clothing etc
Aside from that we sparred every time, a lot of focus on physical fitness and enduring pain. A lot of simulations where you got put in a situation where you didn't know who or what was gonna do what, just to learn how you personally react under adrenaline.
No complicated or long movements, we had a while to do the movements in slomo to understand what the point was and then we did them in full speed.
I did learn quite some stuff, and now I've quit since half a year for medical reasons, theres still stuff I apply occasionaly because it's just effective and easy.
Krav maga in general IS bullshit, but there are gyms that are down to earth and don't work from the perspective of jewy dance moves.

Yes, I always though so.
