Funilly enough, at this paticular game yes, we were guarding the Nork border from the filthy capitalists whilst the war raged on in Yurope. The objectives were sneeki breeki type. We had to sneak into the NATO camp and steal the CO2 canisters that gave the NAAFI beer its fizz.

The smelly canvas, I needs it.
For me there's no cancer, it's evolution.
I am getting older, and the airsoft I started playing is long gone. I don't want to pay for games that are far away and don't have any neat things, any more, just to keep that particular autism niche alive. I am very willing to pay for neat things.
Airsoft in my country is going places, summer can't come fast enough.

It's different platstyle to AEGs. You have to be sneaky and get the first shot. You can perform well if you are able to remain undetected in a cover where you can get clear shots with little obstrusion in your way.
Then again, sniper rifles need a lot of care to get them right. Not sure if they can be called money sinks though. A friend of mine bought a second hand APS2, upgraded it with PDI parts and it's still going strong after 5 years. Expecting performance and reliability out of stock rifles is riddiculous.

Pic somewhat related. It's the APS2.

PDI wide bore or 6.08mm for HPA DMR? PDI WBB is supposedly of lower quality, but it's still a wide bore which is supposedly better for HPA rifles.

And yes, before you niggers accuse me of anything, my HP DMR does indeed shoot 0,66g 6mm steel bearing balls at supersonic speeds and 9000< RPS.

So I went back to my small island home for Christmas with an MP5 in my bag so I can play on the god awful site they have down there with some old college friends and I noticed something...

Everyone has some sort of G36, well over 70% of the guns I saw there were those ugly bulky plastic german turds. Is this a trend in other woodland sites?
>>
>>853686
Being a small island, it probably lacks a divergence of airsofters. I envisage there is one shop, probably ran through the one site on the island.

I see that a lot near where I work. It's in the middle of nowhere in Wales, so as a result everyone runs with JG M4's and Cyma AK's.
There is only myself with a gas rifle and one other HPA faggot there so everyone gets all excited over out guns.

I'm currently working on a kit that's loosely based on Gulf War scud hunters since it's one of the only things I could do with an M14 or an XM177E2 that wasn't Vietnam or Black Hawk Down kit #1000. I've got a buttpack and IFAK coming in probably next week and I've already got the night parka (Both the original USGI cotton one and the Gore-Tex one). I more or less just need a pair of SWDGs and the kit is GTG; one day I might also get a small ALICE pack and an M72 LAW to top the kit off, but that's a ways away.

Also I need a friend that actually knows how the fuck to take photos so I can get some kit picks on Kodak Gold for that legit early 90s feel. Or at least a VSCO filter set since I know fuck all about post processing.

>>853700
Disregard what the others say, the KC-02 can be made into a tack driver of a rifle if you have the money.

>>853686
Mainly because the JG G36 is cheap, consistent, and has retard proof reliability. My local field stopped using them ONLY because they have some shit going on with Elite Force/Umarex.

I just spent the last two hours trying to get a gearbox back together and I'm convinced it's impossible. Every time I'm about to put the other half of the gearbox back on the trigger spring pops out, or the anti-reversal latch pops out, or the piston rotates out of place, or the spring guide comes flying out the back of the gun.

Is it normal for every single part to want to pop out?.
>>
>>853954
It depends entirely on the gearbox and the parts. Some fit better together than others. Teflon tape on anti reversal latch axle helps it stay in place. Hold the spring guide down with a screwdriver. The V2 trigger can be placed only partly inside gearbox until the other half of the gearbox shell is able to hold the spring. If the V3 trigger is acting up, you're in for a ride. Gluing down the wires isn't my favourite thing, but I've done it couple times.
>>
>>853954
>Is it normal for every single part to want to pop out?
YES

Version 3?

AR Latch:
Where the spring rests is pushing up too much. Bend the little tail up a little so it sits lower in the hole. Spring only needs to push laterally, won't hurt anything to compromise vertical.

Spring guide:
Use your left hand (pointer + middle finger) to hold this down while steadying the bottom half of the shell with the rest of your left hand. Later I ended up drilling a hole in the back of my gearbox shells so I could jam a screwdriver up the spring guide instead, which is also really useful when taking it apart.

Trigger:
Have the spring guide / spring fully extended out the back. Now get the trigger assembly together in the bottom shell. **Here is the trick for the trigger** use the spring's force to hold itself in place: If the shell is angled towards whatever surface just right with the trigger pressing against it, it will hold the assembly in place. You may need to rig a means of it resting like that. Now hold the shell steady and prime the spring and prepare to put the top shell on.

Top shell:
Put your right hand pointer finger through the cylinder window and press down on the cylinder. Close the shell like there's a hinge at the far end at the nozzle, you may have to press the top of the spring guide inwards a little so it goes into the top shell as you close the far end. The trigger posts may not have quite popped into the holes, with the shell nearly closed (with the force from it just slipped over the top of the spring guide you can leave it nearly closed) use a small screwdriver to push the posts to pop into place.

Those look like Estonians and maybe some Wehrmacht, not SS. Also spotted what looked like to be some dutch patches as well. They're wearing essentially late war German camo, which is a loadout I'd love to make in a volksturm getup.
>>

They are Estonian SS troopers in the film 1944.

>>

They're just wearing late period camo though.
>>
>>853983
No worries, they have surprisingly nice kit though, given they are Estonians. Most of the good kit would have been given to the Germans first. I do like that camo.

That sounds pretty boring.

>>853699
It's an ok AR-18 derivative, but personally I always disliked the magazines it used.
They're a little bit on the heat sensitive side but it's a service rifle, not an LMG, so that's really not as big as a problem as some people think.
The fore-end looks kind of cool.
I don't love the stock, it seems like it would be brittle.

>>853706
>>853718
There isn't really anything wrong with 10/22s, real ones, but the idea of billing one as a 'sniper rifle', it seems kind of quaint. I mean, I suppose you can build yourself one that is quite accurate with match ammo, but it doesn't strike me as a weapon you'd employ for long range target elimination.
But then again, the Israeli employ them for "riot control" purposes.

>>853781

Russia is generally pretty behind the times when it comes to gear (they're still using ALICE like harnesses and some groups haven't changed since the first Chechen War), so yeah they opt for the Western gear.

This is what you want. Check your local surplus store or an airsoft store if you have them. A hobby store might have it too.

As for radios, it really depends on your application. If you're a speedsofter or a casual player what use are you actually going to have with a really good radio; so I'd just go with a shitty Motorola or Midland or whatever.

I use a Wouxun KG-UV3D, but I prefer milsim with the occasional pickup game.
Most Wouxun radios are pretty great, and reliable, provided you take care of them.

It's an AK-104 which uses a smooth dust cover, and the rail system isn't unheard of even in Russia. The only thing really ugly is the stock, in part because of that tube trunnion, and because it's fat and round. Would do better with a slimmer one.

Already planning on swapping out either the stock or the whole tube for a zhukov or buffer tube magpul. It came like that as is from E&L so I haven't done too much to externally modify it yet.

yes bud I know.
The guy's AK, which is apparently an AK104 derivative, does not have a 7.62 mag, while the AK104 is chambered in 7.62. What is trying to say is that his AK is a horrible frankstein of parts not much better than the horrific ak beta spetz.
>>
>>855511
Then you realize that its not an AK-104, right?
It is an AK-105 and the reciever is exactly a 105 reciever
>>
>>855507
>>855511
Or 105 or 103. They all use the same dust covers. Doesn't really matter much considering every AEG AK accepts every AEG AK mag and that magazine is very clearly aftermarket. Pretty sure the OEM for that one comes with a 7.62 mag though.

>>855513
It's also exactly a 104 receiver. The only way to differentiate between them in airsoft is the magazine, and like I said, EVERY AEG AK WILL ACCEPT EVERY AEG AK MAGAZINE. I could throw a 7.62 mag on a krink and suddenly it's an AKMSU, or a 5.45 mag on an AKM and suddenly it's an AK-74M.

The "hanging" strap isn't quite long enough, so it pulls down my waist belt, and the thigh straps are a smidge tight, but that's more of my fault for being such a fatass.

How do those battle belts stay on? Do they clip into your belt somehow or do you need baby birthing hips to keep em up?

Yeah I agree that it's over pric but I took the asr116 with 7 pmag 75 rounds with the pocket for my tactical vest and a VFC QRS stock all of this for 170€. Of course for 300€ I would buy another thing. An E&L AK for exemple.
