Furia or Fusion?
FURIA TRAINING CENTER
Furia is BJJ based MMA. The teacher is affiliated with a type of BJJ based off what its suppose to be about, Vale Tudo style BJJ mixed with a modern striking MMA style to complement it. They also teach boxing, kickboxing and submission grappling/MMA.
FUSION FIGHT CO.
Fusion is Muay Thai based MMA. They use to teach Behring style Jiu Jitsu which is like a cousin to Gracie Jiu Jitsu and self defense oriented but moved to sport Jiu Jitsu a year ago. They focus on Muay Thai. They throw a little Judo in with Jiu Jitsu but I don't think you get ranked in that. They also have no gi submission grappling and MMA.

Theres a Gracie Barra near by with BJJ world champs and pro MMA fighters teaching but its McDojo as fuck! If you compare mat space from here to the others its like a hallway compared to a warehouse. Shits way too corporate and formal; you have to wear their uniform. Showed up after studying BJJ for half a year and wasn't allowed to free roll; you have to be 3 stripe. After a year of study and no free rolling I quit. Its half year later and I want to fucking roll so figure a MMA place has got to let you roll. So annoying you study hours of a certain position, show up to class and they make you practice something else and you can't even try what you've learned.
For threads like these, it's better to just ask at Sherdog. There's more people there from different whereabouts, and each of us know our local MMA scenes and gyms but there might be professional level gyms around your area that are far superior to what you mention here

I think its better to train at 2 different gyms which focus fully on their respective style. Fusing the two become a problem you solve for yourself. I think MMA is a ruleset not a style. Learn from specialists in their style so you learn everything properly.

That's well spirited, but unfortunately most schools will not take it kindly to their students two timing their training at a different school that takes a different approach to the same goal. If you're doing MMA at one place and BJJ at another, or muay thai and wrestling separately nobody will get pissy, but if two different schools have different approaches to learning to fight and you train at both, many coaches, even experienced and knowledgeable ones, will take offence to that because you're making the statement that you know better than they do. And you might actually know better by cross training, but if they train that way it's because they think it's the right way to do it. That seems to be the case, most often.
I insist, though. If you're in Texas, just google around. I can't recall any at the moment, but I am pretty sure there's world class coaches in Texas all around.

Your MMA coach is a guy you're paying to train you. You're the customer. He works for you. He gets to say exactly dick about what you do when you're not in his gym. If you're terrified of confrontation, why not just shut the fuck up and train and not tell him you're also training at another gym?

But since you want to jump right in, why don't you take a trial lesson and look for yourself?
If you watch the coaches and especially the higher students you will already notice if they look like you want to be. Also it needs to have the right vibrations for you and that's nothing you can see on a website or something..
Personally Fusion looks better to me because Furia has this soccer mum Krotty, but this is just a first imporession. It's best to look for yourself.

You should try out both. The gym you go to needs to be a pleasant place for you to keep the motivation of going there. Watch for things like group chemistry, the attitude of trainers, the discipline they ask and the personal attention people get. Choose one that fits the best with your preferences.

Just goto the gyms and check them out. See which has more people and more pro fighters.
Goto the open mat sessions and grapple with them. See who seems more experienced. Goto some thai sparring session and see who you like more.
Add up the pros and cons of each and then make your decision.
Do you want more mma or do you want more grappling? Do you want mauy thai or do you want mma?
Furia sounds more like mma strictly.
Fusion sounds like they do more bjj with a path to mma do to training thai as well.
Fusion sounds like my current gym and I love going there. Tons of great fighters some pros that are on Bellator and ufc train there. The jiu jitsu is superior but the thai is legit and you can go far in it. Judo and wrestling at my gym are supplimental more then anything. You need to have take down skills so its good to toy around in these areas as well.
Furia sounds like another gym I used to goto. Strictly mma based. Lots of conditioning, lots of kicking the heavy bag, lots of boxing and sparring and a little bit of bjj and judo as a supplimental.

More isn't always better.
Being more selective with your fighters, setting a high standard for your group will inevitably leave you with less fighters, but better fighters.
A couple of yall said Fusion and I think you're right. I was sold on Furia but just found out Fusion BJJ is affiliated with Team Sylvio Behring USA which might be the best style of BJJ. Its all about instant submissions like break a guys arm standing or how to take someone down to arm bar instantly. Was at Gracie Barra and you can't learn knee bars until brown belt were as this system you have to learn it as a white belt cause its on the test to get blue belt. There tests are alpha as fuck, its more like a badas demo instead of all ridiculously strict like Gracie jiu Jitsu.
Wish I signed up a year ago but the owner said they were switching to sport BJJ I think Machado; I guess he realized how superior Behring Jiu Jitsu is. Love they don't follow IBJJF and seem to be the closet BJJ style to the original.
