There's just so much there I have no clue where to start, especially since there's ongoing storylines and continuity seemingly spanning decades.

It seems overwhelming, But I also want to try it because I keep hearing about really wacky shit like a 90's story line in which Undertaker uses mind control powers on other wrestlers and is the devil/and or Dracula. Or Big Show and Hulk Hogan doing a monster truck sumo match. Plus, my S.O. is really into it and if I knew jack shit about wrestlinng, I could probably run a campaign of the rpg World Wide Wrestling, which seems fun too. I'm admittedly interested for the outrageous seeming storylines and antics rather than the fights. It seems just like my Japanese animes.

Maybe could you all could tell me major storylines or matches and where to find them on the net? Knowing what matches are filler/what I can scum in big storyline would be nice to know too. Or maybe just some highlights/list of what matches have some of the wackiest/most memorable moments.

If it helps, some wrestlers I'm interested in are The Fabulous Moolah, Undertaker, Brett Hart, Randy Savage, Mickie James, The Fabulous Rougeaus, Mr. Perfect, and Awesome Kong/Kharma/Amazing Kong/whatever the fuck people call Kia Stevens nowadays.

Also, what the fuck is this about? I have fucking clue whats going on but I love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9qGSYPc42E

Anyway, thanks in advance.

If you didn't watch it as a kid, then don't even bother.

For your own sake.

this

but a good place to start would be summer slam of last year. You'd only be about a year behind and will understand the current title holders

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ap2si_stone-cold-vs-bret-hart-wrestlemania-13-with-austin-s-commentary_sport

check that out too, it explains match construction and is an example of a good match

Thank you.

I liked that match you linked.

Wrestling is a pretty easy thing to jump right into. Storylines come and go, a long term feud in WWE hasn't happened in forever.
As for stuff from the past, check out some of Dave Meltzer's highest rated matches.

Mickie James' most memorable match was vs Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania. You could probably find it (and recaps of the feud) on Youtube.

>How the Fuck Do I Get Into Wrestling?

youtube

>The Fabulous Moolah

Literally was a pimp who forced girls to fuck male promoters in exchange for work. Worst person in the history of the business and I'm counting Benoit.

Her actual matches were decent though in like the 50s.

>Undertaker

Watch his Hell In A Cell matches against Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley from 1997 and 1998 respectively.

>Brett Hart

Watch his match against Stone Cold and his Iron Man Match against Shawn Michaels. Oh, and his Summerslam 1992 match.

>Randy Savage

Watch his WrestleMania III match or any of his other matches against Ricky Steamboat.

>The Fabulous Rougeaus

Never really had a "must see" match, but they worked their gimmicks pretty well all things considered. Just watch any random match from them. Also, they were in the mafia, btw, so if you read stories about them threatening to kill Dynamite Kid just know those are 100% real.

>Mr. Perfect

Dude was such a wizard in the ring that you can basically pick any of his matches as long as his opponent is a decent wrestler.

Also,
>storylines
>continuity

Do you really even care about this shit?

And here's my totally unsolicited list of favorite matches:

pretty much all of WrestleMania III
Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog/Davey Boy Smith -- Summerslam 1992
Kenta Kobashi vs. Mitsuharu Misawa (all of them , especially 2003)
Kenta Kobashi vs. Dr. Death Steve Williams (all of them)
Macho Man vs. Ricky Steamboat (all of them)
Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat (all of them)
Manami Toyota vs. anybody
all of Dream Slam I (Dream Slam II is also worth watching, but the original is basically the best women's wrestling of all time)
Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue (all of them)
Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood vs Jack & Jerry Brisco (from Starrcade 1983) [my all time favorite match]
The Great Muta vs Jushin Thunder Liger (from NJPW 10/20/1996) [my second favorite match of all time]

I forgot about Royal Rumble 1992. Watch that as well.

Also, watch these ring entrances to get hyped.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn7cFGXHvqo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm_OZqpdoUQ
The Great Muta vs. Antonio Inoki (from the 90s, if you can find it)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01lce1lh27o

And watch this because it's hilarious.

Since you seem to like WACKY CRAZY shit, look into Japanese comedy feds. BY FAR the weirdest wrestling of all time.
>>
WWE barely keeps its continuity on a week-to-week basis, mate.

>>796221
But he wants to watch WRESTLING

Not an Exciting Live Action-Adventure Soap Opera Drama
>>
>>795734

Are there any other videos like this where a wrestler gives commentary on a match he or she is in?
>>
>>795708
> must see Bret Hart matches

Any hart foundation vs british bulldogs match
Hart foundation vs fabulous rougeaus would kill two birds with one stone for you
Hart foundation vs demolition summerslam 90
Bret and Owen vs the Steiners in 94

> singles
Bret vs Bulldog SS92
Bret vs Mr Perfect KOTR, every KOTR match is good 2bh its a good mix of different opponents
Bret vs Owen Hart WM cage match
Bret vs 123 kid at raw is a must see
All 3 Bret vs Diesel matches are based af
Every bret vs stone cold match
Bret vs undertaker w/HBGay special ref
Bret vs Benoit owen hart memorial

Thats a good place to start
>>
>>796329
Pretty sure SCSA did one for his match with Owen too. Wish Shawn would do one for his ladder match with Razor.
>>
>>795708
Get the WWE network and see the following if you want great entertaining PPVs
>ECW One Night Stand 2005
Awesome promos, awesome crowd, mostly decent matches. 2006 isnt quite as good even if the match quality is arguably better.
>Royal Rumble 2001
Possibly the best RR match, with one of the best ladder matches to boot. The WWE championship match is fun too. Check out 2000 first, if you care about chronological order as its also great. NWO is good to watch just after it
>MITB 2011
Worth it for the anti-cena crowds
>WMX7
Not much to say, just watch it
>ECW Heatwave 98
Worth it for RVD antics
>Extreme Rules 2012

After that, just watch RAW every week, they re-cap everything on the show anyway so you'll get a quick idea whats going on. Don't bother watching smackdown if you care about storylines
>>
>>795708

Don't.

Why would you?
>>
>>796337
Yeah, I think he did another for one of his Rock matches at Wrestlemania.
>>
Don't bother mang. If you absolutely have to, you should go straight to watching gay porn instead of purposefully going through the closeted christian hillbilly ersatz for it.

Although I do confess to occasionally watch Japanese joshipuro myself. Penis liek.
>>
>>796330
>Bret vs Owen Hart WM cage match

Cage match was Summerslam 94 m8. The mania non-cage match is great too.
>>
>>796569
Why don't you just come out since you seem to be blatantly aroused by it?

>Do you really even care about this shit?

Yes. That's the entire reason I'm interested. There's a thousand different ways I could watch fights. Hell, I'd probably have much more fun playing a wrestling match in No Mercy or Day of Reckoning. Meanwhile the idea of some surreal Saturday morning cartoon show for adults but in live action sounds novel.

For Pete's sake, this has me rooting for one dimensional villain commies!

>>796712
As has been mentioned, either look into Japanese comedy feds, or just start watching Raw and you'll get filled in pretty quick.
