The idea was good. A bunch of new, young guys who were mistreated and made fools of on NXT season one took over Raw and take their revenge. They know that their numbers are their advantage and procede to take over the WWE.

The execution was terrible, couldn't of fucked it up more, with Cena beating them cleanly, "joining" the Nexus when we all know he's going to get his own back. "Firing" Cena and making zero effort into ensuring this by having him still enter and attack the wrestlers in his wrestling gear (not even security coming to get him). Not to mention how after they had Punk oust Barrett and take over the Nexus. As good of a leader role Punk is, he should not of got involved at all.

The less said about the Corre the better, although you could argue they were more sucessful since they won more titles.

Either way, The Shield was basically how it should have been booked.

Punk's New Nexus was barely the Nexus. He took over a brand and turned them into his henchman and when he didn't need them he discarded them. It's funny how in MiTB 2011 they still had him come out listed as Nexus leader.

A good premise but terrible execution. It didn't help that Barret was injured which ultimately sealed his fate as mid-card.

They were a random call up because wwe literally had nothing going on. It was an emergency call up. There was no plan for them. See the corre or whatever the fuck that was. Terrible.
