>finisher's name is just the wrestler's initials
>>1449886
>Finsher is a basic move with a different name.
>This somehow makes it stronger.
Speaking of finishers wasn't Cena's AA called the "FU" at one point?
>>1449889
Yes, but muh PG
>>1449889
Yep. The FU and STFU. I believe it was supposed to be a knock at Brock's F-5
>5 knuckle shuffle
>>1449888
This is actually a bone I have to pick with Ambrose. The dirty deeds is basically a DDT with a pause before it. KO's powerbomb is literally just a popup powerbomb. Even Cena's Attitude Adjustment seems.... Weak, boring, not worthy of being a finisher.
When I think of finishers I think of the sharpshooter, I think of the outsider's edge, the canadian destroyer, the steiner screwdriver, the torture rack, the fisherman's suplex. Something flashy and actually unique with a long setup.
>>1449886
>wrestler is a woman
>>1449903
Powerbombs are commonly used as finishers so it's not too bad. I agree on Ambrose though. They usually just a standard move these days.
>finishing move is a legdrop
People who say
>sasha banks is good at wrestling
>>1449903
Didn't Dirty Deeds used to be a headlock DDT? But Vince made him change it?
>>1449913
Benoit yourself
>>1449916
It was this "move" originally
>>1449949
>Kane even took that on his knees
Dammit modern Kane.
>>1449949
That's so shite. Glad they scrapped it.
>>1449889
Yes, but the Five Knuckle Shuffle, which is slang for fapping, is still around
>Persons finisher is just a super kick
>>1449949
>Wrestlers changes his finisher
>Doesn't change the name
Fucking hate this.
>>1449913
I laughed when she used the bank statement on charlotte. she had to fall backwards or else she would just man supported Sasha out of her move. INSTANT REVERSAL!
if your move doesn't work due to size/strength difference.. just use something else.
>>1449886
Who else besides Randy Orton has this?
>>1450084
I'm gonna sound like a complete dumbass for saying this, but I didn't even realize that until now. All this time, I thought it stood for "Randy's Knock Out" or some stupid shit like that.
>>1450115
I thought it was a play on that with the O obviously doubling with Orton. It may also be a refrence to the old film company RKO but i'm not sure if Randy is much of a movie buff.
>wrestler's initials are KO
>doesn't do the KO Punch
>asian guy is karate master
>>1450201
Because he is so fat.
>>1449886
In what? Pro wrestling?
Oh I've got one
>the match is predetermined and the winner is decided by whoever the owner likes more
and you people eat this shit up
>>1450226
Normie.
Ree.
>main-event match
>person kicks out of at least 2 finishers
This is why I like the WM 14 main-event match. Only one stunner and no sweet chin music. Drives home the point of a finisher.
>>1450226
I want the normies to leave!!!!!!!!!
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
>It's a championship match
>Champion comes out first
>There's a World Title match on the card
>It's not the main event
>>1450226
>(((women's wrestling)))
>Only finisher is a submission
>Women's division
>>1450128
Because surely, there's link between his love for The Magnificent Ambersons and a leaping Diamond Cutter.
>THIS IS AWSOME (clap clap clap clap clap)
>>1449886
>loses belt
>rematch clause so get another match
>a 3rd party interferes and there's no clear, clean winner
fuck you undertaker, bray, and eventually The Club
>>1450321
>WE ARE AWESOME (clap clap clap clap clap)
>>1450304
You don't know that man. It might be his love for Citizen Kane.
>wrestlers stand completely still and do nothing for several seconds waiting for their opponent to set up their move
>>1450321
I have no problems with the chant itself, but it's been chanted so frequently now that it's become meaningless. Like the "holy shit" chant, it should be used sparingly and for special spots in special matchups.
>>1450325
To be fair, it's only funny during a match no one gives two shits about (i.e. that Sheamus vs. Randy Orton match on Raw that nobody asked for).
>>1450335
or when they position themselves for other wrestlers to do their signatures
>wrestling against reigns and get superman punched
>*tactically rests head on the bottom rope and try to get their bearings*
>wrestling against randy and can't pin him down
>"maybe I'll try a springboard attack from the apron"
>"maybe if I irish whip dean into the ropes he'll spill out of the ring buying me precious time to strategize"
>>1450557
I cannot fucking stand people very obviously holding themselves in place for Alberto's finisher. Its one of the worst looking finishers in the company
>Wrestlers who require an insurmountable amount of setup for their finisher
I mean, fuck Super Kicks, but I miss when it was as simple as a clean as fuck suplex or hell even a DDT, this flashy finishers are the worst and the most predictable things ever
Yes the Styles Clash is in there also
>>1450586
KO is the absolute worst for this. You can see that finisher and the assisted jump into it from a mile away.
> YOU FUCKED UP
> YOU FUCKED UP
> YOU FUCKED UP
Am I the only one who likes Dirty Deeds?
Dean is basically this generation's Mick Foley, so it's really fitting that he has Cactus Jack's finisher
>>1450693
It could be worse like having a finisher a semi-retired wrestler is still using and is famous for (lookint at you rollins..)
>>1450557
Why the fuck would you still try to hit BMJ after those two shoulder blocks?
>>1450586
I don't mind it if it is something that you could possibly do and someone else couldn't stop you. Pinning finishers are also great but you never see them anymore. The perfectplex was great and the closest we really have now is Adam Cole using the Florida Key. There was also some joshi girl that had a cool finisher which was just a straight jacketing their opponent and stacking them up.
>>1449903
Yeah but it's a powerbomb
but yeah we need more impressive finishers
Edge spear worked because he had that setup where he looked batshit
Roman's doesn't because it's a one hit wonder for some reason, and the only difference in setup is he punches the ground
>>1450965
But he goes Awoo~
>>1450962
Seth Rollins indie finisher God's Last Gift was a package piledriver into a small package pin
It was really cool, it's a shame he can't use it due to it being a piledriver
>>1449911
Yeah but it works for some guys
>>1449888
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. A regular move transcends being a regular move when it starts being used as a finisher. A clothesline from Chris Jericho is just a clothesline, but a clothesline from JBL means the end of the match. Likewise, a Boston Crab from JBL is just a rest hold, but a Boston Crab from Jericho is devastating and can lead to tap-outs. Why? Because it's his finisher, simple as that. It's the internal logic that has been set up in wrestling. Learn to suspend your disbelief, man. It's wrestling. Enjoy it.
>>1450572
>Its one of the worst looking finishers in the company
Can you actually think of a worse one because I sure can't
>wrestler 1 makes an obvious botch and doesn't even come close to making contact with his opponent
>wrestler 2 sells it anyway
I was really impressed with BROTHER NERO a few years ago when Shelton Benjamin tried to springboard off the ropes to hit him but accidentally slipped and fell on his face. Instead of selling the move or just standing there like a retard, BROTHER NERO took advantage and immediately went for a pinfall. That was a fantastic save and maintained the realism of the match.
>wrestler makes a forgivable botch
>commentators act super confused, draw unnecessary attention to it, and shit on the guy for the next five minutes
JR and Tazz were fantastic at saving and explaining away botches on commentary, whereas Cole and Lawler are utter shit and just make the whole situation ten times more awkward than it should be. I don't know how much the voice in their ears has to do with this, though.
>>1450271
Ah, the Charles Montgomery Punk treatment.
>>1450941
That's only because the Curb Stomp was banned for seeming like a concussion causing move and Vince being paranoid about it. Pedigree actually made sense to use as Seth was aligned with Triple H at the time and was written into the story.
>>1451039
It made sense then but HHH isn't even on tv anymore. Seth has had enough time to come up with something new considering how athletic he is.
>>1451043
Yeah, true enough, I'm sure he has probably considered it. Knowing Vince, though, it's probably like YOUR FINISH IS THE PEDIGREE NOW GOD DAMN IT, DO THE PEDIGREE
>>1450226
It's theater, not a sport.
>>1451036
More like the Bret Hart special.
Wrestlers getting injured during their push.
Stop that shit you weak faggots!
>>1449891
Its seems more like acronysm for Fuck U given Cena first gimmick was being a nigger.
>>1450256
I wish there were more finishs witouth finishers that arent roll ups. Like how Sami now gets pins from that Sunset Flip despite not being his finisher.
>>1451189
Here you are kind sir.
>>1451198
Thanks you kindred spirit.
Looks better than the Pedigree.
>>1451200
Agree, it probably got canned for looking too much like Dirty Deeds. I think he should just use the frog splash but they probably want to keep it as a transition move for half the roster
wrestlers pointing at things. fucking hate that.
>>1450226
>when a dumb-as-fuck mark tries being smart and fails miserably
>>1450996
This. It's that wrestler's finisher so they would've trained up to become better at the move than any regular guy and stronger than Normal.
>>1451236
It's bad manners
>>1450693
>Dean is basically this generation's Mick Foley,
>"fans" online crying about harmless chants
it's dumb as shit when people get mad at shitchanting - most of the time, the show getting shit chanted deserves it
also
>commentary outright lying about what fans are chanting
>>1450962
Revive Curtis Axel. Make perfectplex his main finisher instead of that dog shit neck breaker thing. Make him world champ for five years. Record high ratings
>>1450226
>"What are movies?"
>>1451031
Cole especially is the worst.
>Looks like he didn't get all of that modified blue thunder bomb
>Three replays.
>Points out the gritty details of what caused him to botch
Everytime.
>>1452014
All accurate except that Cole wouldn't accurately call the move
>>1452016
IT'S A TRADITIONAL BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!!!
I thiught Seth Rollins pedigree counter to the spear was cool as fuck. Why wasn't that the finish?
>>1452028
Because that wouldn't make Reigns look strong.
>>1450226
Oh wow Jimbo you figured that out by yourself
?! Give this guy a medal!
>>1451175
It's a bit of both.
>>1450557
Worst ever example of this was, and surely will always be, Rey's 619.
>>1452020
VINTAGE
>a wrestler irish whips his opponent to the ropes and goes for a back body drop
>is kicked in the face
People who got into wrestling in the late 2000's are wondering why the guy is bowing down to the guy running at him and giving him an opening.
>>1452239
this
they need to actually go through with more back body drops
