What's the compensator on that AK-105? On a closer look it doesn't look like the AK-74 compensator, as the compensator here seems to have smaller cuts behind the main ones.

Nyet rifle is fine only goes so far. People who put rail systems, lasers, foregrips and shit like that on aks deserve to be gassed. The only acceptable attatchment to put on an ak is a russian style optic that uses a dovetail mount. This is [CURRENT YEAR] and the 19th century tier notch and post sight just doesn't cut it.

>>
>>1302206
I mean if you want to put an optic on an airsoft AK you have a few options.

A- Get a dovetail to weaver ak mount and a western optic replica

If you do this you are western pigdog

B- Buy a kobra or pso replica

Literally the only russian replica sights on the market, but theyre regarded as being terrible

C- Buy a real russian red dot

True slav option, can get a good russian military sight for about 300, has incredable battery life and is durable as fuck, as well being far more accurate than A and B. As a bonus you can also use it on a real steel gun, assuming it has dovetail mount.

I went with C since my upgraded E&L AK is worth enough to justify buying it.

It's worth it. By uncomfortable, I mean it is physically uncomfortable to carry. The vertical grip doesn't help much, and it's literally a pain in the neck to aim down that scope. The environment I play and has a lot of woods. So the scope somewhat helps identify targets. It also helps with confirming you hit somebody. You know, in case you run into "high level." Players.

>to see if I like it?
Is there really anyone that went "to see if I like it" and didn't like it?
I mean, the fact that you are willing to go to the field knowing what the hobby is about basically means that you already like the premise of the game. I've heard countless people saying the "if I like it" line but never heard anyone (so far) saying "I didn't like it". I've heard "I'm not good at it", "it's tiring", "it's expensive" but not that they didn't like it.
You can show alone just fine. Most airsoft players are surprisingly friendly so chances are you'll meet other players and tag along with them.

Any stories about cheaters? Wondering how common it is.
>>
>>1305358
I was at my first game last weekend and I was standing literally 30 centimeters away from a wall with the enemies so far from me my guns couldn't reach them having a chat with some team mates when I felt a BB come square from the wall and hit me in the middle of my chest.
I was like "where the fuck could have that possibly come from?" My teammates just shrugged but I called the hit and walked out. That's how much I don't want to be called a cheater.
>>

Probably friendly fire.

Cheaters are not uncommon, but they are really easy to spot and deal with if the people in charge want to.
I personally don't understand the fun in not calling your hits. Being able to die is such an important aspect of the game that I think getting rid of said aspect makes the entire game moot.
>>
>>1305544
I don't ever do it, but I'm such a fat faggot that even walking from the point where I die to the spawn and back is exhausting. I can see why someone in as poor a condition as me would not want to "die", especially if you haven't managed to get a shot off yourself. Most of the time people are just cunts though.

Does anyone here have an opinion on AGM's STG-44? I'm collecting (especially German) WWII airsoft guns but in addition to looking nice I want to be able to use them in games without them breaking.

Not too sure about the hopup since I haven't seen anyone with an STG in years.
As for the FG-42, no. Although Shoei does a non firing replica that's like $1-2k and you could probably drop in a fusion engine and cram an M14 or 20 round STANAG magazine in the 8mm magazine; that's also if you were able to find one for sale and be crazy enough to gut a $1k+ replica.
>>
>>1305573
Shit. Okay.
Does anyone make a decent Mosin-Nagant rifle available from Europe? I can only find one on sale in a Finnish web store but it costs like 300-400 euros compared to around 150-200 it costs in the US. I have the Dboys K98K but I would never use it in a game, I just got it because I love the design.
>>
>>1305550
I have an AGM StG and aside from the magazine not feeding properly sometimes (because it was tampered with by a reco guy) it is really fucking good. The only things as far as I know that was changed was its hopup bucking and it shoots really far really accurately and has an original StG strap or whatever its called in English.

I can hook you up since Im looking to sell it because I have too many guns right now. Where are you from friend?

I got this gun. Need battery for it though. Only gas guns before.
The site says "Wired to the rear with dean connectors we recommend running a 7.4v lipo battery in the buffer tube OR a 9.6v nunchuck in the crane stock."
The sticky says "Ideally, you should buy at least two 9.6v NiMH batteries for optimal performance."
I think they are saying the same thing? Is there a good crash course on batteries?

More volts make your gun shoot faster. 7.4v is okay for stock guns. 11,1v if you're prepared to swap parts. 14,8v if you know what you're doing.
mAh determines how much you can shoot. 1200 should suffice for normal weekend skirmishes, but might run out on larger events. It all depends on how much you shoot. You should never shoot LiPos dry because they will deteriorate or in the worst case die. If you shoot a lot, buy two.
C-value and mAh determine how much current your battery can provide. More is better. C * Ah = A which means that 1000mAh 20C provides as much amperage as 2000mAh 10C. You want a battery that's capable of providing at least 30A. If the battery isn't capable of providing enough amps, it will deteriorate and your gun will cycle slower than it should.
LiPos require good chargers. Bad one might not balance the cells well, which leads to them deteriorating.

>>
>>1306342
I didn't read the gun description throroughly. You can kind of 'increase' your output energy with longer outer barrel, but it would be more accurate to describe it by decreasing your energy output by having a too short barrel. That's a good idea by Deep Fire, but I think it will affect the accuracy.

Everything in the StG is V2 compatible (M4 internals), so you won't worry about proprietary parts.

Only con that it has out of the box (besides being heavy for weak fools) is that it will be shooting more than 400 FPS. Mine did 454 FPS on 0.20s, so you might have to change out the spring.

Source: I have one
>>
>>1307206
I've heard you can compress the spring for like a day or two by half-cycling the weapon to make it have less FPS and that the spring(s) settle after a bit of usage which also drops the FPS too, though.

The spring settling after usage won't drop more than 60 FPS though. Probably at most 10 or less. You'll still be over 400 FPS by then. Try all the methods you like, but I opted for opening up the gearbox to clean out that disgusting Chinese grease and reshim.

Got it from my local store. WE made a snail drum for the Luger in their response to their regular mags being shit. A lot more reliable than them too. I'm supposed to have the artillery version with the longer barrel and adjustable sight, but since it's a WE Luger, it wouldn't matter if it started breaking down. No sane person would do what I did after knowing about WE's lazy ass not fixing it ever.

AKMN and AKMSN have side rails, AKM and AKMS don't. Vast majority of AKMs are the normal type.

For the 74s - default AK-74 does not have side rails. AK-74N and AKS-74N do, plus AKS-74UN.

AK-74M does however include the side rail by default, and also a folding stock, which is why 74M does not include specific AK-74MN or AK-74MS variants.

At least around here, in Finland, mesh goggles and glasses are very popular. Good quality mesh goggles don't tend to give in, for example, old school Sansei ones, that are not perforated steel mesh, but instead wire mesh. At least I haven't heard of anyone in Finland losing eyesight yet due to wearing mesh eyepro.
>>
>>1309808
I heard a guy tell that he took shards through the goggles from broken BBs through mesh. Might be because we tend to have higher FPS in the US, lots of field don't allow them.

Mine have protected me several times from bb's with only minor dents from one, and they allow for my eyes to get more fresh air than normal goggles while also not having to worry about fogging and sweat buildup in my eyes. Good for you then, but I've seen way too may BBs shatter on mesh masks to even consider putting that shit as my eye pro.

Anyway, I'm looking for something like a scarf, possibly without any patterns or religious connotations like szmaghs or whatever, that's meant to be worn in summer, rather than winter. Something like Snake has in MGS5, is there a name for scarf like that so I can look it up?

Mesh works too, I'll try it.
Usually I wear a buff necktube, but those are made of wool and despite that they can be easily rolled, they're not so great for summer. Also it's impossible to use it as anything else but a scarf once I wear it, because taking it off quickly is impossible with a headset.
>>
>>1310019
Trust me, unless you're on a field that allows full-auto and guns above 450 fps and consecutive face-shots, they work perfectly, I have mine usually paired with a mesh lower-face plate as well to give a better amount of protection
>>
>>1309967
>protected me several times from bb's with only minor dents from one
Normal goggles protect the same and more due to not allowing broken bbs pieces in. Even if the chances of that are small.
>they allow for my eyes to get more fresh air than normal goggles
Good goggles allow airflow in just fine. No problems with sweat nor fog.
People really need to buy better goggles if they have such problems.
>they function somewhat like sunglasses
Again, good goggles have adapters that let you put tinted and even mesh on top of the goggle itself.

I couldn't care less about what eye protection people use, It's their eyes going to the shitter not mine after all but I really don't understand why anyone risks their eyesight over slightly increased commodity. Same with facemasks.
>>
>>1310053
>unless you're on a field that allows full-auto and guns above 450 fps and consecutive face-shots
Well, I think we found the issue.
Poland barely has any fields this far north and rules aren't strict. Guns above 450 fps and consecutive headshots are both very likely to encounter on any game you attend.
Still, I wouldn't wear mesh even for low-power games. I don't trust others enough, God knows what shit BBs are they using.
