Well, do ya punk? Prove it. Post your gear with a timestamp.
My Gear
I widh there were more places to play around detroit. Right now there's only two. I'm convinced commandos airsoft is a drug front since they have NO SIGN on the building holding their field. And the guy running t store counter spends 99% of his time talking on his phone. It's like they don't want you there. The only other field just opened in the old empty kmart. Hopefully they are better.
Suck a dick California with your 100 million fields to choose from.

Hey /asg/ what are your thoughts on the TM Recoil-Shocks?
>>1240466
If you got money and you want a personal vibrator for realism while shooting manchildren, go for it.
>>1240466
Best recoil system you can get. TM Magic, only for 1J or less.
>>1240404
Went to Commando's about two months back, and the refs were going out between rounds with the players to take shots out of the back of a tahoe, it's the shittiest field I ever went to. On that subject though, I myself am opening a field near Bay City in a former prison. Should be up by December.
>>1240497
I'm on the other side of Lake Michigan so I probably won't make it out, but got pics of the facility? That shit sounds sweet.

Why do airsoft retailers never keep on top of their stock situation? I'm not after a toptec M60 or whatever, i just want a frigging Cyma CM028S, in two tone blue in case i use it to join ISIS or whatever the UK govt think i'm going to do.

Muzzle in the ground is bad.
Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of the stamped 5.45mm magazines, and the Romanian/German wire-stock. Reminds me of a Tantal.
Can't say that I fancy the Donkey Dick vfg tho, but that's a matter of taste.
>>1241035
How the fuck is the magazine wrong, you sperg? At most you can point at the gas-block, typically used for the 7.62mm rifles but it's not like you can't make a 5.45mm or 5.56mm AK with that gas-block.
To anyone questioning UCP/ACU, from last thread
>>1239538
It was meant for destroyed urban environments like half of the cities in the middle east, because we noticed that not a single camo worked in an urban environment besides UCP and it works damn well in an urban environment. That along with the fact that 90% of the fighting in the future is more than likely going to take place in an urban environment.
>>1241116
Where do you take that from? Because that's not fucking true so stop projecting.
>>1241120
Seems to work pretty well in this urban environment.

Hey guys i'm looking at buying a g36c. I have been looking at guns from Umarex, KWA and Ares. Which brand would you recommend?

>>1241427
The kjw 10/22 would be a good base to make a mock up of mini 14
>>1241459
Fuck dude I want the wood furniture with the folding stock though
I have been eyeing that 10/22 though for a while
>>1241459
>plain blowback gun in a small enclosed receiver
>a gas-piston operated rifle featuring a rotating bolt, with the top of the receiver open
Terrible base, would be better suited to use some manner of M14 or M1 Carbine as a base instead, then the action would actually almost look right.
They literally look and feel nothing alike.
>>1241464
I don't think anyone makes anything like that which fits, you might be able to take one from a model gun (some are very nice), otherwise you're looking at 400 or 500 dollars for an original Ruger factory folder.
Otherwise you could try to make your own.
>>1241442
Nice tits and muscles tho.
>>1241120
Look at it, look at it long and hard. Now look at a decayed/destroyed urban environment. Rinse/repeat until your autism levels are at acceptable levels.
>>1241109
The mags are the APS ones, probably one of the few things I'd give props to APS for like V3 quick spring change gearboxes.
I was initially thinking of making a Tantal, but I recently got some strichtarn to wear so that's also an option.
The donkey dongers are something almost no one likes, but I find them amusing.
>>1241035
I swear I found it sticking out like that in my backyard.
Underslung grenade launchers - yay or nay?
>>1241739
In terms of what? I have one I can tell you about
>>1241739
For looks and feels? Sure
Are they practical? Hell no
Tanaka made a mini 14
>>1241755
>Practicality
heh..
They are heavy single shot shotguns with a massive trigger pull. If you want it for usefullness then you're wasting your money. If you want it for some keks or for a loadout, then maybe it'll be up your alley.
>>1241816
So they arent just added weight then?
>>1241818
>So they arent just added weight then?
?
No, they do technically do something... Just not very well.
>>1241755
Look into Tag rounds. They're expensive, but they actually give grenade launchers a purpose.
>>1241821
You mean range and scatter right?
>>1241767
Probably a model gun though. Lots of those old Japanese airsoft companies started out making models, and some still do.
>>1241523
All GBBRs are going to be straight blowback since they don't need any form of bolt lockup.
You could always get the "better" riffle and get a WE M14.
>>1241755
There simply isn't a scenario where the grenade launcher would be more useful than the primary gun. The range is awful and accuracy despite shooting a small cloud, is nonexistant. The only reason to buy them is the wow factor and looks. If you want to shoot clouds of bbs, just buy a DSG like any sane person would.
>>1241849
Chalk/Pyro TAGs are good for anti vehicle roles, but they're not really suited for anti-personnel since the blast radii are so small and lack any "fragmentation". People will call them anyways though if they're a good sport.
https://youtu.be/SqwENJDTP4A?t=2m57s
One day I hope we can get launch-able grenades that actually scatter BBs on impact.
>>1241767
There used to be a pump-action one with a sawed-off stock, like way back in the 80's, I can't see why you'd want it now, nor why you would want it then.
>>1241846
>All GBBRs are going to be straight blowback since they don't need any form of bolt lockup
I know, but the bolt on the 10/22 is a small, solid piece (aside from the firing-pin), it's very distinct from the Mini-14, though it's only for show, the bolt-carrier on a M1 or M14 gbb will actually rotate, and the charging-handle is a separate piece, both have a longer travel, you both see and feel the difference.
It'd just be another aesthetic and feel altogether.
What's an acceptable price for a Krytac CRB? My local store is selling it for almost $600, it seems retardedly steep.

>>1241364
how are the built in optics of your G36 treating you? i've been tempted to get one with the optics, but according to everything i find on it, the built in optics are shit or at the very least sub-par.
>>1242125
I have two optics, the 3x and the red dot.
Red dot came broken but it's a comfortable position to look through, the 3x is really hard to use with the KV stock and it requires a very specific angle to view through. Everything about the rifle is looks > function. It's to finish my BW loadout.
I am fielding the rifle for the first time tomorrow (if tech can unfuck it)
>>1242100
Terrible idea. Not even TM compatible so you can't get aftermarket parts support.
Ever since i got to run around at the BW for a weekend i've been in love with the G36A. anyone have any suggestions with a budget of max $600? from my research what seemed the "best" was the elite force G36A, because of that sweet sweet burst fire.

Do people actually buy these TM sets?
>>1242332
I would. I really enjoy Daito and didloaded's art, and they'd make for some nice posters to put up.
Cool to see this board doing well! I was in highschool when /asp/ started, really hoped airsoft would stick around. I have an A&K Mk. 43 back home, waiting to get it shipped here to where I'm stationed. I scored an S&T PP19 for a crisp $130 plus a couple extra batteries and a high cap to get myself started in the mean time. Also just ordered a black Zsh 1-2m helmet with the visor. Gonna go for an OMON or FSIN/FSB (A) loadout.
>>1242332
Is there anywhere I can actually buy them? I'd love to.
>>1242328
So you play outdoor mainly?
>>1242337
>>1242334
I was looking more into the TM Recoil Shock HK416 and I saw this on the site, so I'm sure if youre using Google Chrome and auto TL the site, you can buy it, playing BF4 is also making me want it more
>>1242341
I bet that's some Japan exclusive bullshit. I'm gonna try to find it on some places that sell internationally.
>>1242339
yes,i have plenty of opportunity to travel due to my affiliation with airlines(i get free air tickets every months) so occasionally i go to places like Indonesia,Philippines where their airsoft scene is bigger
so where do you play, impact force?
>>1242348
The fun part is, nobody actually uses the PP 19. Neat gun, not so neat service history. Not going for hardcore realism, just a "this is what I would wear" kind of thing. And all Russian gear is wtf expensive. Gonna take time, but I'm excited, mang.
>>1242348
FSB and some internal affairs still use them. MVD has anything from old as shit banged up 74s to tacticool equipment based on what they can scavenge
>>1242349
Yeah Russian gear can get pretty damn expensive, but it's actually issued stuff and not Condor crap. You could get a SS-leto Partizan suit and something like a new-gen smersh or Parti harness replica for cheap, but you'd be Farb Master Supreme.

Never tried it. Once again, you can do it but you'll need to pay a proxy in Japan so they can ship it to you. The
buyfag threads on /a/
cover this, and you can find a decent amount of stuff about it on Google.
>>1242379
Don't underestimate the size of Bizon magazines. Take this guy for example with his Smersh.
>>1242383
I've seen some creative solutions. One of my favorites was a dude using open topped radio pouches that were elastic at the top
>>1242383
>>1242379
Also don't quote me on this, but you MIGHT be able to use an RPK Smersh since it has deeper pouches.
>>1242391
Good call anon.
Also, I have no experience with suppressors, but I think this gun would look great with one. Don't need a longer IB, it's good for about 340fps already. The flash hider has proven annoying to remove thus far, and I'm not sure if the nub underneath it is threaded. S&T says it is, but if it's not, wat do?
>>1242397
certainly exquisite, would probably fit to whatever kit you're aiming for
go for it
>>1242397
It'll be threaded and will most likely be a standard counter clockwise thread. As for a suppressor, it's not a bad idea to get a longer barrel since you'd probably have like 8" of space between the end of the barrel and the exit of the suppressor, so the BB could hop into the top of the chamber or even strike the end of the suppressor on its way out.
You do sort of lose the ability to quickly take the suppressor on or off though.
How do yall store BBs, I keep mine in an ammo can I got back from ROTC, pretty handy bring off and on the field, I probably have 4 bags of 5000.2s and a bag of .23s
>>1242403
my ammunition handbag, which actually has a silk lining
i only get myself 0.2,0.3 or 0.4g bbs since anything that doesn't end with zero brings bad karma
>>1242411
>brings bad karma

Tfw too scared to go to airsoft field solo
>>1242613
If you use this thread as a gauge of how autistic the average airsofter is, I think you'll be ok going on your own.
>>1242613
Where are you from anon? People around here are really friendly, you could probably make friends with anyone at a field. There was a guy at a CQB place who had gone alone and a bunch of people would come over and talk to him or he'd ask questions about our gear and we kept him some company.
>>1242620
Socal, like 40 min from SC village
>>1242622
There's a lot of people in Cali here, I'm sure someone would wanna play. Since the airsoft scene is so big there you really shouldn't have trouble finding someone to get along with, either at the field or online.

>>1241739
Underslung is more trouble than it's worth for me. At least with bb rain shells. I haven't got the retarded amounts of money to get into TAG shells, but I imagine it would give GLs some purpose, I'd love to drop smoke nades everywhere.
Now those 40mm pistol grenade launchers, on the other hand, are pretty great with moscarts if you can locate it somewhere on your gear you can easily reach for it and blast away when an opportunity knocks.
I usually use them for killing bushes or when arcing when somebody's on the otherside of a barricade, also for groups for people. they're pretty fun but a money drain and also bitch to reload and maintain.
They're fun though.
>>1241843
Depends on the kind and gas you use.
Those CO2/HPA Madbull ones have pretty decent range and scatter, but they're a bad idea to use in CQB. Those GG ones have terrible range and not much scatter, but I guess they're okay for CQB.
Still, a lot of hassle. I use a XM108HP in a pistol GL as a last resort/against faraway groups and for keks it's pretty fun.
I'll go underslung only when I'll have money for TAG shells and maybe someone will make a GL with a CO2 compartment already, like the AK one.
>>1242125
I know a regular complaint about the built in optics of the G36 in the Bundeswehr is that they fog very easily.

Me too. They're designed for urban environments but I've been using them for a year in woodland now and they perform well. I only wear the Magnums if it's been especially rainy, because my site can get very very muddy and the grip on the GSG9's aren't designed for that.

I store my batteries in the ammo can so I don't burn to death in my sleep because of cheap chinese batteries. The BB's are stored in half-full bags everywhere in my closet.

Went solo last night. It's not weird unless you hide in a corner in the ready room
>>1242803
If it fits and you like the look, sure, but I don't think there ever was one of those guns in 7.62x39mm
>want an sks airsoft gun that isn't shit.
There are so many cool ways they could make it feed too. Even if they just made it take ak mags like an sks type D or offered it as a conversion.
>>1242613
find some other solo players and converse with them, humans are social creature, and having the basic knowledge of some people in the field could help you alot
>>1242963
m4 and ak are just too much of a stable platform for most company to jump off, sure there are some companies who goes into niche market (snow wolf, ares) but there's too much risk in going out of a way to make a new model
>>1242982
With how sales are slowing down I'd say they need to branch out as the chinese boom has gotten almost everyone who wants one an M4 and an AK
>>1242987
Airsoft is dying out I think. I work at an airsoft shop, and the distributor prices are low as hell. They're trying to move product, but It isn't going anywhere.
I have a few Ideas as to why, but I don't think airsoft is going to be around much longer. In the US at least.
>>1242990
Sales are dying out as innovation is at a standstill
Most companies just copy what others have done and every seasoned player has what they want, unless they like to collect. Airsoft just had the biggest boom in sales about 5-6 years ago due to cheap and reliable chinese guns so this was a bit of a bubble in terms of retailers trying to get in on that. To keep the momentum going a lot of shops will need to cater to players who already have guns rather than just new players. I walk into most shops and 90% of their gear is entry level which is expected but when it comes to online prices its difficult to compete. The doom and gloom over airsoft dying out is a bunch of hot air as the community has begun to solidify nationally and is no longer just a couple of guys doing pick up games. People say the same thing about brick and mortar retail yet they're still doing just fine. I think my biggest complaint is the lack of easily accessible fields in many parts of the USA due to our country's size. If you have all this gear to sell but no place nearby for people to use it then that poses an issue. Hence its in my opinion that shops and fields should combine for maximum stability.

>>1242998
yeah things have been pretty stagnant
airsoft is probably at the maturity stage in a product life cycle, they've pretty much milked out every single potential market out there
also there's a pretty robust 2nd and 3rd hand market out there, best the current company can do is trying to consolidate their place and prepare for the next big boom so they can exploit it
>>1242998
I think the hay day was around 2006-2009 After that I kinda feel like it was the beginning of the end. The thing with fields being too spread out is true, but even I've noticed player turn outs slowing. Regular walk on gaming that averaged 120 a weekend had dropped to around 60-80 at best. The bigger games draw a little over 100 in most cases, but it's not what it used to be.
I think mostly new players like kids aren't doing is because of video games. Like back when cod4 first came out, all the little shits could set up their gun to look like their favorite cod4 set up. Now, the video games are all taking place in the future, or simply have guns that airsoft doesn't.
The other thing is the war. Since the news doesn't talk about the wars in Iraq and afaganistan anymore really, the little kids don't think it's "cool" to play army anymore. I live in a very liberal antigun state, so I'm sure that doesn't help it.
I don't know. I just don't have many high expectations for airsoft in the coming years.

>>1242734
ASG Dan Wesson 715 is probably the closest thing you'll get to all those, as it's the only airsoft revolver with an adjustable hop-up. It can also come with either outdoor or indoor shells. It also doesn't particularly cost more than most other pistols, though it is a bit more than other revolvers.
>>1243427
Who's that?
>>1242734

Literally only works on single-action revolvers.
The cylinder won't cycle if you try to do it on a double-action.

BANZAI
Guys I need your help. I have a lowly cm16 raider-L and I want to change up the barrel length situation. What I want to do is shorten the outer barrel and attach a silencer/tracer unit which I know will likely require me to replace the inner barrel to match the new length.
My question is how do I make sure i'm ordering the right size components? Does the length of the outer barrel include the dreads etc? Does the inner barrel length take into account how much barrel is lost to the hop up?
How does this work?
>>1243973
You're going to need to replace the whole barrel and front sight assembly, since the Combat Machine has a (to my knowledge) a fixed barrel length and a front sight that's molded as a part of the barrel.
>>1243977
Ya I'm cool with that. I use an eotech and the front iron sight is rather annoying. I'm just paranoid i'm going to order all these components and they won't fit because I didn't take the length of threads etc etc into account.
What I want is the silencer/tracer to start as close to the handrail as possible. I believe the handrail on a combat machine is 7". If I order a 7" outer barrel will it be the correct size?
Got a 'nam vintage Y-harness, pair of M56 pouches, and some Tiger Stripe. Am I MSF yet?
>>1244031
Not quite there, because they use M1956 pouches. Those are LC1 pouches and who ever said they were M1956 took you for a ride.
>>1244046
Meh, close enough. I only payed $4 each for them.

How is the range and accuracy?
So what brands of parts are compatible for a WE brand gbb AR? Pic not necessarily related.
Does any company make a MagPul "bad lever"? I'm kind of needing a new bolt-release, and I'm wondering if there's any of those available.
I think I might also be looking at a new magazine release and trigger-guard.
When it comes to smaller, more basic parts like that, most of the GBB parts I find of even remotely decent make should fit in most GBBs, right?
>>1244241
Out of the box its got great range and accuracy. On mine the outer barrel was off center of the hand guard by just a hair so it was shooting to the left. I fixed that with a zip tie and now it shoots great. You're going to want a powerful battery for it because it has a big motor
>>1244286
>You're going to want a powerful battery for it because it has a big motor
Want to elaborate on that?
>>1244122
RG is a really sexy color, but it's fairly easy for mismatch on color unless you go for real-steel gear. It also doesn't match other greens as nicely as OD green kit does and getting flat FG BDUs and so on means buying either Crye or LBX. Therefore, overall, CB is the better option. It goes well with a good variety of kit including desert and woodland, contrasts well to green-heavy kit, and still is dark and earthy enough to not give you away at standard camo identification ranges.
If you're in a more arid area, Tropentarn is pretty damn smexy, otherwise I'd need to know more about your terrain conditions.
Just got back from event and didn't use my pistol at all. Is it kosher to keep the mags fully gassed or will that damage them?
>>1244328
run around your neighborhood and start shooting at people to empty it out otherwise it will explode
>>1244122
get a reference photo of the vegetation and growth around your area, then compare it to some camos
>>1244328
try finding some police area, wave the gun to them and they will know that you're in need of help
>>1244328
It's not good super long term, since too much pressure can compress seals, but keeping a bit of pressure in the mag (around short-stroke pressure is ideal) from proper green gas does prevent the seals from drying out and in fact keeps them lubed.

>He's still posting unrelated images with his posts.
any airsofters in NM? bonus points if you can put up with a noob.
I've been a /k/ommando for a while now but never into airsoft, just never crossed my mind.
but now that shooting real steel is getting expensive, this seems like a good option.
I know basic marksmanship and shit, but nothing airsoft-specific.
right now i'm looking at a used (presumably CYMA) AK on craigslist.
the only field near me is 007paintball and when they do airsoft, it's bring your own gun, something I can't participate, and abq airsoft is shit.
yes I read the pastebin.
I need some help guys, anyone willing to hook me up?

AUG looking thing is a "UHC Super Mini-M606" I picked up at a antique store.

scale wise, the 1911 is a fullsize replica and its almost as big as the baby AUG
