I haven't bought anything really expensive yet, but I really want to get a Sfera and do a Chechen or Beslan conflict kit. A friend of mine has one and I unironically love it, even if it is heavy and impractical.

Hey guys.

I went to a big airsoft game last night. There we're close to 600 people in full military gear running around. Lots of different situations and terrain. In short it was one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life so I was thinking about getting an airsoft weapon myself but I don't know anything about them.

Any suggestions on what to get? I kind of want a semi-auto.

Also redpill me on the technical side of airsoft weapons pls, thanks.
>>
>>1181317
What gun were you running in the game? Did you like it?
>>
>>1181317
There's a newbie pastebin in the OP. Read that all first. Then come to us with the specifics of your budget and how you want to play.
>>
>>1181322
145m/s and 120m/s M4's.

The 145m/s was nice but I hated that It had almost no range and I'm not big on spraying. Was thinking that maybe a semi auto has better range and higher bullet speed ? Money really isn't a problem, but still, I wouldn't want to bury more than 500eur into the weapon.
>>
>>1181324
The pastebin dosn't really give me much good info.
>>
>>1181343
Honestly mate, no one really makes guns with 500 FPS springs out of the box. Furthermore, you'll still be spraying shots about if you don't have the accuracy to match or consistency to match your speed. An erratic magnus effect combined with high projectile speed would make your BBs veer around even more wildly.

Lastly, it doesn't need to be said that a stronger spring will put more stress on your gearbox and will require a stronger battery-motor combination to make it effective. You don't want a fraction second delay everytime you pull the trigger right?

With all this said, your best options is probably the Krytac CRB. The only thing you'll really need to get is a tightbore barrel and higher strength spring for it. It comes with a MOSFET and neodymium motor, so you can use an 11.1 lipo out of the box as well as have excellent trigger response. The proprietary hop up system is said to be highly consistent. Their gears, gearbox, pistons, and MOSFET are highly durable. Here's a link. Plus a carbine length tightbore of decent quality and spring, that'll be just under 500 eurobucks.

I kind of like the CYMA SVD 057A Dragunov. 130-135m/s. What do you think about that?

I have friends who are professional airsoft modders and can mod some of the stuff for me.
>>
>>1182017
I bought it back when it was still ~150$, even at a little discount because chances are there's only a handful of F2000 users willing to buy it here.
Well, it feels really good, and is much more accurate than the G36 JG front I bought earlier for quarter of the price, but I can't help to think I chose an expensive raifu.
What's worse is I'm considering buying a 150$ Socom rail, but thankfully there are printed Mk23 rails and I also consider a TM Mk23 which comes with the iconic LAM.
Again, I could have sticked with the Hi Capa, which also has plenty of spare parts, aftermarket support and mags, but I always had a thing for Socoms and KWA one seemed perfect, though I start to consider Ra-Tech parts too.
Ah well, it's still pennies compared to a motorcycle or a car, it's not that expensive of a hobby, right?
>>
>>1182063
Feel you, Being a special snowflake is pretty expensive. And sometimes you wil lregret it because the gun has proprietary parts that you cannot find spares for. Only reason why I havent bought G&G AK5 even if I love the looks
>>
>>1182043
Don't get a sniper or DMR for your first gun. I recommend a G&G combat machine. After you've played a while, and if you still want the DMR/Sniper gameplay, you can upgrade it.
>>
>>1182093
why not?

I know theres less action, more walking and hiding and tactical gameplay, that's what I like about it.

Ideally, you should be able to hit your target, at the very least, 6/10 times.

In the UK, we also have minimum engagement distances for those types of weapons, and you have to have a sidearm for anything under that distance.

You also won't be able to play at most indoor sites.

But if none of this is a problem, go for it.

I feel kinda proud, someone made an edition after me. This is the greatest achievement in my life so far :^)

On the thread topic, yes, I do it routinely. For justifications, I have a few. Firstly, I actually get larger pieces of kit fairly rarely - the grey kit, an entire loadout is the largest endeavor I've done on the field of airsoft in a few years. I do constantly buy gear though, but usually they are fairly small purchases. So I suppose, when I decide to go for something larger once in a while, I might as well go all out then.

Then, there's the usual "buy once cry once" - thing, but honestly, I didn't notice my chink gear giving up, when I was still using it.

There's also the ethics issue - I can't really find myself paying for clone gear. I just think it's wrong.

And, there's also that usually I am after something very specific, say, a tactical fleece hoodie in blue, or an entire grey kit, and when that happens, I have very little options around. Clone kit is usually just the most bland and unimaginative gear around, though there are plenty of exceptions, and if I want to be an unique snowflake, that won't do.

And for last, as there's the whole $215 Hoodie Edition - I'm one of those autists who wear casual tactical clothing pretty much all the time - I don't even own a single pair of jeans. So I find it fairly easy to justify the clothes - the price isn't only going towards airshit, but also towards my daily life.

I gotta be honest the $215 dollar hoodie never bothered me that much. Relative to the amount one could spend on a single piece of clothing that's extremely small potatoes. I'm completely speculating but if you're a single guy who doesn't have dependants I don't see a problem with treating yourself to some nice outerwear, regardless of it's usefulness in BBwarz.

The ref hides an item in the field and chooses the Thing. The item allows players to identify the Thing. Players do this by asking others and the correspondent must answer truthfully. Players killed by the Thing join Things side. When either side is eliminated, the game ends.

Just like in the movie, the game mode only works if the players have never ever seen a horror movie and DO NOT STAY IN THE GROUP. One the other hand If they have seen a horror movie or two, they'll maybe understand that the undercover Thing can't pick them off one by one when they stay in the group without splitting up to hasten things up. Fuck horror movies.

I've got a compression problem with my AK. The compression inside the gearbox is perfect, but I'm getting highly variable FPS. I've tried 4 different buckings and two different nozzles. Currently I have a longer 21,5mm M4 length nozzle in it instead of the standard AK nozzle in it. I think the problem is caused by the fact that my magazines push the gearbox just a little bit upwards causing the nozzle to misalign with the bucking lips. Anyone have any ideas how to fix the issue?

I think I could try some very soft 50 degree silicone buckings if they were bit more tolerant to nozzle misalignment.
A friend of mine suggested me to buy a ProWin chamber. Besides their low-tolerances and cool colour, they can be attached to the V3 gearbox's frontmost screw. Would it help to keep the gearbox on aligned? I'm also considering similar style AirsoftPro and SHS chambers, since they're cheaper and ProWin is out of stock in most stores. Any thoughts?
>>
>>1182226
It takes time, money and effort to make your gun shoot accurately at long ranges. Range without the accuracy is worthless, because you won't hit anything and will end up going close enough to hurt people. Accuracy through volume is lot easier and cheaper for beginners. You can be sneaky and tactical with any gun.

If you want to be the next Chris Kyle, BASR parts are pretty cheap nowadays.

Very fun. As usual the team with the best tank support won the game. Even with rain last year I had a blast. Played with NATO 11th Cav last year and Day 1 was a fight for survival holding a firebase. Day 2 was more of a standard mission holding a road and securing the NATO victory.

As soon as you clean your uniform and get down from the rocks you're kinda fucked. You would be right, we do usually have 3 a year
But most of the participants come outside the state, from what I've heard other players say "Oklahoma has some nice open fields mixed with random pockets of thick trees and underbrush so it's nice to come down here and play"

Problem being "Muh hunting" and "Muh reel steel" is also popular being so far south in the bible belt, so there are a lot of people that say "Why get an airshit rifle when you can just buy the real thing?"
States with strick gun laws have more smaller airsoft fields
States with less gun laws have less fields, but bigger participation in very short bursts

The only other field I know of is a 2 hour drive away
But don't get me wrong "The sport of using fake guns" is popular, its just everyone here prefers paint ball.

Well if you want something more "realistic" don't get the DMR one as those never had wood stocks like those, unless you plan on painting it.

Either way, they're the exact same rifle with different stocks. CYMA makes a good budget M14 so you can'r really go wrong either way.

>>1192269
Lightweight plexiglass riot shields should not be allowed at fields, since in reality they're not ballistic rated and are only meant to defend against thrown projectiles. Perfectly fine with shields though if they're heavy as fuck so they have the drawbacks of real ballistic shields.
I know some RR chapters use Vant VM (Pretty sure Alfa on the West coast were the first) replicas that have actual weight to them.

There was this one guy at my local field with a home made shield made from cardboard and foam which is a good idea on paper since it could be penetrated by rifles, but he made it like 3-4 inches thick and spent the CQB game running around like he was trying out for SYG.

Can 3 point slings be used as 2 point slings or even as 1 point slings somehow?
Friend of mine bought me a sling but it's a 3 point and that's okay, I'm definitely going to use it but I've heard 3 point slings can be a little bit uncomfortable.

Local sites allow them, but you have to stop, plant it on the ground and stick at least your head out if you want to shoot. Seems fair enough, but there's always a couple of wankers who think they're immortal with them

Hey everyone, i'm looking to get into airsoft. I usually play paintball but it costs too much to play every week so airsoft feels like a good substitute. I've read several beginners guides and one of the starter guns i keep seeing listed was the G&G combat machine series. I looked on craigslist to check the local used market and i came across this.

Good deal or no? Thanks in advance.

I didn't even think about how it looks until now but I guess it looks okay with the exception of that retarded skull mask and the helmet (I dislike helmets in general).
>I bet you wear multicam, black or kryptek.
I wear Levi's and a shirt or hoodie if it's cold unless the field forces me to wear something else. Come at me.

It's a starter gun, and getting the quality battery and smart charger IS a bit of a nice perk. For the money, it's a fine deal, just make sure to go to where you're buying from and test it out yourself first, make sure it cycles and all that.

Is it the kryptek or fake PVS-14 that triggers your 'tism.
