Have you ever noticed the unique patterns on top of bearded dragon heads? I've owned a couple beardies before and I've never come across a bearded dragon with similar head patterns.
Pic related.

my friend let both of his beardies go free in his cactus garden
but his had nice heads before they were released
DNA changes each time, so does their scale patterns.

scale patterns are random, not inherited. similar to human fingerprints.
the third eye on beardies is always in the same place though.

why would scale patterns be random, but color inheritance not? thats bullshit

>why would scale patterns be random, but color inheritance not?
because coloration has nothing to do with where the scales are.
>thats bullshit
you're the expert.

This. Poor thing.
I'm adopting a 2 year old male from a friend soon, would it bother the dragon very much if he were switched onto carpet or newspaper instead of sand (if that's what he's been on)?
what morph is that?? or is this just color manip'd, cause i seriously don't remember seeing a beardie like this with yellow eye markings

Man, what? i never trim my guys nails.
Should I? He's only a year old.

Yes. Sometimes beardies are active enough that they wear them down themselves, but in the case of OP image those nails definitely need a trim.
Check Google for tutorial on how to go about it. It will have pictures of what is too long and what length to trim to.

Not at all. Use ceramic or slate tile though. Easier to clean, holds heat better.
