Anyone else wait tables? I've been doing it for a month now, I making more consistently than my last job (worked inside at Dominos), but some days it's just not worth it. And the niggers, holy fuck I thought I was racist before, but nigs really nog when you're a waiter. Kind of feel like just going back to Domino's or some other fixed rate pay dead end job. Does it get better, or should I get out before I lose my mind?

i did it for two weeks loved that i was on my feet all day, hated literally everything else, especially coming home too exhausted to do anything. made godo tips but the work was so bad that i wanted to blow it all on booze immediately. i go to a bar or dirnk maybe 3 times a month. back then i was doing it almost every day.
do what i did: start applying for officej obs. there are some entry level thigns you barely need a degree for, and if you have the money invest in online or community college classes that are office related to help.
ive been managing an office for two years with a film degree and it is so fuckin ggood

Thanks, and yeah I spend a lot already on weed, even more now. That's the only thing I see keeping me from an office job, so many restaurants/ service industry jobs don't drug test, but it's just soul crushing sometimes.

whats worse, 6 months without weed (2 to remove from system, 4 to job hunt) or 6 years at a restaurant?

The obvious answer is the restaurant. I turn 21 in less than two weeks so I guess it wouldn't be too hard to sub weed for booze, but it's just not the same. Fuck, I probably sound like a little bitch. I'll have to stop for a little bit anyway some day.

>i probably sound like a little bitch
yep. use now to prove you are stronger than your compulsions or addictions. if you cant handle something like this then it isnt worth it. i couldnt dirnk for six months cuz of accutane. totally fucking worth it.

Well thanks anyway for replying. I have to go get ready to go to work in a few minutes.
Booze and weed nonwithstanding, it's just too much work for too little pay some days, then others it's like wow I could never make this in one day, but mostly it's the former.
