Is law enforcement and criminal justice a good career path?
I know it sounds retarded and only CoD kiddies go for this career but I'm really into it, I just don't know if I'll have a good future like I would with an engineering or something.

If you mean a degree in those things, your only options are to be in law enforcement. So you better have dreams and aspirations to be a police officer. The only benefit a degree will get you in the police force is consideration for a promotion to detective. You're going to start at the bottom like everyone else, though. After 5+ years of excellent work, you may be considered for promotion to a rank that requires a 4 year degree.
Or, you can go to law school. Hope you're really smart and have a lot of money to get there.
If that doesn't sound like the career path you want to go down, or law enforcement isn't your dream job, then don't get a degree in it. Waste of time and money.
