Why do you care? People are going to think and feel about you however they're going to think and feel. All you can really do is consider your behavior: are you doing shit that's creepy/scary? If you are and you don't want her being creeped out/scared, then cut that shit out. If not, nothing you can do about it, that shit's her problem.

What does she know of you? What is the opinion of the rest of the school? Is this really your priority in life now? Why are you after this relationship?

Reassess your philosophy and improvements you need to make.

If you're "socially retarded" (in truth or you believe so) the relationship will be torture for both sides.

If you're happy with all other aspects of your life and are genuinely interested go for it.

Don't make the negative responses "negative" per say, as in dirty looks, just negative as in you let her know whose boss

Go over all interactions with her, and ask yourself what may have caused her to do this.

Maybe something you said or the way you acted surprised her. Interest doesn't immediately mean 'MUH BE MY BOYFRIEND', she's just intrigued, there is no saying that she likes you or dislikes you, but the fact that you give her attention gives you a lot of breadth to work with in terms of getting with her

I mean, being "socially retarded" nowadays, while simultaneously achieving the same successes as others who are "not socially retarded" can be linked to cultural differences both in personality and in ethnicity.

Use your uniqueness as an advantage, hang around other unique people, threaten those who are filthy conformists who like sticking to themselves.

You (and most people) don't understand how useful and interesting you could probably come to an intelligent functional social circle.

How to not be socially retarded:
1- Feel confident: this means having steady, ambitious, out-of-the-box goals in life, trusting your intuition, having self-control. Understand yourself, stop with all the self-loathing and ridiculous dreams which serve only one finite aspect of your ego. Like I said, re-assess your philosophy of life, do something that can serve all parts of you. Take control.

2-Assuming you've taken control, ensure that your hygiene is entirely well maintained, brush twice a day, shower once with 35c, go to the gym for EVEN 5 MINS for at least a month, bring everything you need: music, money for food, etc. Focus all your energies on these small tasks and constantly repeat to yourself that once these become a habit, they will not exert any energy whatsoever.

To be honest, once your life is in order and you'll see how ridiculously easy it is to socialise and interact after all other anxieties in your life have been put to rest, everything will come by nature.

Search about stoicism and the power of thought and visualization. It will help so much.

My philosophy is that I am tired of being a product of psychological and sexual abuse that I went through. I am tired of being alone, is my psychology. I am not drawn to sex, but I find women interesting, so it is easier for me to find friendships in them. However, as I got older the old memories came back and I became really depressed / withdrawn and as a result I deleted all my phone contacts and my fb contacts. Several years later here I am, I lack ability to carry on long conversations but I like being around them. If that makes any sense.

I used to be a very social person until my reality dawned on me as my stupid fuckin brain matured too much.

I am 28 yrs old, in about two years I will lose my handsome face and then no woman would talk to me. Before that happens, I want to have someone around me =/. Right now my only redeeming, human quality is my face, that's it.

I have all that man. I was in an airforce school for 12 yrs and I was a star student there. It's not an aesthetic issue at all, aesthetics are the only thing that are going for me (and hygiene). I just lack a proper soul, at least one that can be expressed.
