There is what appears to be a pimple on my penis shaft I'm not sure if it's an ingrown hair, a pimple or herpes.
What do I do if its herpes?

If you're really concerned about it go see a doctor. Most of the time herpes actually isn't that bad. More often than not you'll have one or two outbreaks and after that it rarely returns, this all depends on how strong your immune system is tho

This. The doctor will swab the pimple and do a herpes culture (make sure it tests for both HSV-1 and 2).
However, keep in mind that this test will only be able to tell you if this pimple is caused by HSV, not if you have or don't have HSV in general. Most people do have it, and chances are you already do, but people just never know.
At least once per day, some dumb underage faggot will notice his Fordyce spots.
