So I'm a neet, graduated a year ago with no job despite exhausting everything I can. I pretty much spiraled to severe depression during my studies until today. All I do is apply to jobs while locked up in my room while also browsing this site and YouTube
I tried going out today and sit in a cafe where the weather is properly cooled; and I felt very autistic. I'm not autistic, but I feel that way because there's human beings around me. I felt there was something wrong with me in this world and felt people were looking at me even though we weren't
How can I become a normal person again? I feel so weird when there's people around me and I avoid eye contact when speaking. I don't have the balls to chat up strangers because I know I'll drop spaghetti and look even weirder despite normal people doing this all the time
I also want to know, how do you have the motivation to improve yourself and live your life despite not having a job. Being unemployed is part of the reason I'm such a shut in
Please help me /adv/

What are your hobbies?
((I was in the same position as you so I really sympathise.))

I don't go out of the house or do anything other than apply for jobs and shit post on here while watching YouTube so I'll be honest with you; none. No hobbies at all.
Something inside me is telling me if I don't get a job I shouldn't go out or talk to people or do anything. It's been like this for 3 years now; one year out of graduation and 2 when I was still in school

I'd say start volunteering , it not only gives you something to put on your resume that youve been trying but also forces you to socialise , social skills degrade over time too (been there too , a lot of people have).
The fact you feel people are looking at you and think youre weird also might be because youve got some self-esteem issues , though im not a psychologist, dont let that get to you.

I feel like volunteering may just make me feel like it's a chore though; wouldn't it?

depends on what you do , you could even work abroad in eastern countries teaching kids english and the like. Not only an adventure that takes you out of the neet lifestyle but youre also making a positive change in the world.
It isnt going to be a chore if you do something you can get behind i think
